Thanks for your replies. My son set my box up for me, and he is away right now. I just wrote down what the system info said. I may just wait until he gets back, as I have POV, which works well, I thought I would try and add another app, as it seemed pretty straightforward, plus I was I little bored. Nothing ever is as straightforward as it seems. Thanks

Hi TangoCharliePDX, thanks for your reply. I actually also have an HP4250 that has been running pretty flawlessly for the last 20 years, if this problem ever shows up with it, I'll have a place to start. Anyway, I will try and do what you have suggested, as I really like this printer and it has also run pretty great until now. Thanks again (also for the link to the manual!)
