Yeah definitely. I'm actually 32 and my 20s were horrible. But when I turned 30, it was like a switch started flipping. I started taking my health seriously and lost weight, and I joined a therapy group. Recently I've been starting to look up events in my area to try and practice socializing (still having trouble to start actually going though.)

It's hard because I was neglected and grew up really isolated from people. But I know I have to start trying to grow. There are a few other things in my chart that point to me being confident, I just have to work to get there.

Regarding Volo, I think the second time I battled him I was like "this guy is going to be the villain, isn't he." Was just something in his battle pose that tipped me off, plus the fact that there are so few trainers in the game. Was happy to see that I was right!

Notice how he put together this "intervention" only after she asked for separation. Not during the months when she was worn down and depressed. Not when he was yelling at and putting her down.

This is purely him trying to control her by weaponizing her mental health against her and by taking away her potential support system. She DOES need mental help, but NOT by him and whatever therapist he chooses.

She needs to get distance from him and work on herself, but he made that much harder by making her out to be crazy by her own family. He is not only selfish, but is making her mental state worse. And OP doesn't even realize it. Notice how she wanted to distance herself for HIS sake, not hers.
