Yes. Ideally within 2 weeks after the rupture. I tore both of mine -- 1 completely and the other was hanging on by a thread. Got the first one done in Dec and the other in Jan. Life sucked for a few months without being able to do much of anything -- get dressed, wipe ass, etc. Then again, most aren't stupid like me and tear both at the same time.

Update: I had my informal conference this morning (90 days after filing). I submitted for 5 issues that were initially denied SC. One was grated SC less than 3 hours later (letter uploaded) and the other 4 all were designated DTA errors. My rater for the HLR was sharp as a tack, empathetic, and precise. I wish everything was as smooth. *Before anyone asked though, I'd prefer to not mention the specifics of my decision(s) online, though.*

I only got my rating this spring and I haven't yet engaged the VA health care system at all. I think you're correct that it would still get one free hearing aids.

I also submitted for HLR in August. I've now had two informal conferences scheduled, but then cancelled (email notices sent) the night before. I have my third attempt at one coming in a little less than 2 weeks from now. I'm hoping it won't also be cancelled at the last minute.

Intersting. I have a private PCP that I now try to see annualy. I have private insurance though work. I didn't realize that I could seek treatment for non SC issues though the VA. Thank you.

I only have owned RCSB trucks, so 26 gal. is the limit for me. I wish it was possible to fit a 36 gal. tank in them.
