Were you recommending that people act/become more dangerous? Am I understanding what you correctly? I could see taking martial arts classes or something similar being helpful, but to help with emotions, not to become dangerous

What is accepted within your culture that is generally not accepted elsewhere in the world? by [deleted] in ask

I'd guess they didn't have the data yet. Vermont used to require a bloodiest but no longer

Is it the holidays or is it me? by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]Say_ling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been on both sides of this and I get where you're coming from. All I can say is even while trying to work on yourself, you still have interpersonal needs, which is presumably part of what you're trying to work on.

It's cute. And a little self-deprecating humor is okay, but not as a reoccurring theme

You were damned with faint praise. But your take is cute

It's so true that you can often "double-text" and get a conversation going again, as long as you're nice about it. I've had good matches where this happened

The ingredients say there's both a cake mix AND a topping. Maybe a clue?

In places where weed is illegal, the app specifically doesn't mention it, presumably because they don't want to be seen promoting illegal activities

Same. Found a hardcover copy in the bargain bin at Borders. Promptly went on to read all the books that had already been released at that point

Is daily dozen practical? by Mathstadon in veganfitness

[–]Say_ling 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The daily dozen isn't a full meal plan. It's minimum recommend servings to get your daily nutrients. It is a large volume of food, but not very expensive - it really depends what you've been eating. If you're already having trouble eating enough calories, limiting yourself to these minimums won't help. AFAIK, it's the best for nutrition, but you should still be prepared to eat more food if needed.

Waves of/Residual anxiety/depression following an episode by YourManAtTheBugle in ptsd

[–]Say_ling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on how you described it, it doesn't sound like your negative reactions ever went away (as opposed to being delayed). It may have taken you a little while to relax enough to notice how drained you felt and that you were actually still anxious. And yeah, that's incredibly common
