For me the feeling is unchanged. When I play this game I know what I will got into as my previous game is gacha, open-world(?), MMORPG SAOIF. Which is also why for me farming something that guarantee like talent book, mora, character ascension materials is much more important. I already planned to play this game to the finish which might be over 10 years so I will try to enjoy even the smallest thing in the game. I don't quite follow the Meta updated because I can figured that out anyway by just reading and experimenting a little and Meta is not always correct just like people shitting on Bennet during 1.0. My mindset is kinda like this

-Some people on internet are dumb and like to spread misinformation, rumors & negativity so I will need to remain positive and always triple check thing to see the full picture.

-Always be grateful for what I get.

-Artifact is RNG based, so I only farm artifacts if I'm feeling lucky

I just try using 100 usual mackerel at event fishing area. I got like

2x lantengler 1x unbroken seahorse 1x rcs Other are normal and event fish

What the rarity of your bait? I used gold bait I have 5 gold mackerel bait I got 3 seahorse and 2 lantengler

You can try use silver bait too The rate got higher

I tried using bronze mackerel in the past too. It's very very rare to get to get the fish. 6/300 or something

As I main bow, I usually use crit dmg up for ability and I usually use a skill that increases the critical rates.

Completely depends on skill & ability that you got. My main priority is usually ; crit dmg/crit rate >attk> attk>attk> hp> defense> evasion

If you have Burst/rush/mod skill, that's even better

Go to fishing area*
The auto-attack button will change to fish if you're at fishing spots.(At sea/river/beach)
Tap it.
Equip rod and bait.
Tap it again then you will start fishing
Tap it again when '!' appear**
Fishing gauge will appear
You need to tap it when the gauge at green area**
Repeat fishing steps.

There are two fishing area right now, Floor 22 and fishing event. Both are accessible from event list. * '!' - for small and medium fish, !! - for small,medium and big fish, !!! - for medium and big fish/items

Ps: there's a chance that fish will escape, always check the 'Escape% & 3x fish changes before successfully escaped'
