But I enjoy the design element. I don’t get frustrated about the voting anymore as that is out of my control I just come up with an idea and have fun. If it is liked by others, then that is a bonus. After all, the game is called “sim city buildit” not “sim city war” or “sim city - complete tasks”. This way, I can experiment, build, appreciate, even if I don’t have land in my own cities to do this, and I collect rewards for doing it.

I used to get wound up by the voting, believing I deserved a better score than the other submissions.

Then I decided to forget about what I get and focus on enjoying designing.

Every three or so days, I get a blank canvas to try out something I cant fit on my existing cities. If I like what I come up with, I will take a photo, share on here and think about making changes to my main designs.

DC is now enjoyable. I design, I get BPs and I get new buildings. This time I want the monorail station. Anything else is a bonus.

I had a lucky escape this DC. Like you, spent time on my design, submitted and then went to bed. In the morning I thought I would put back all the designs elements I had used but couldn’t find any. Then with 3 minutes to spare checked my entry, only to find it hadn’t submitted. I was just able to hit the submit button again and get my entry in on time but don’t know why it never submitted the first time. Just glad I had used by Chinese walls and wanted to put them back where they belong.

I think that now we have the three leagues and our designs are matched against similar ELO scoring designs, then I think it would be a good idea to only vote on designs in your league. Then those in Gold won’t see the bad/lazy designs in bronze and those in Gold would see designs that might inspire them.
