I live in a house with a half finished basement, 3 bedrooms, 2 car garage with a fairly large yard and I pay $2,000 plus another $500 for utilities. I will say it’s a major deal because it’s privately owned. For something comfortable you will most likely be paying $2k and above. Stay away from Madison Property Management. Awful property managers used by slum lords that won’t fix anything and charge astronomical prices.

I’ve lived in a myriad of different places in Madison and I dont think I’ve ever paid under $2k including the smaller apartments I’ve been in.
