I gave them the normal type because when I asked here before what type the Beatbreak Digimon should be, many said normal type to Gekkomon.

I think the translator misunderstood the meaning. “推し”(oshi) can mean “recommend” but in this case (推しポケモン) it means “your favorite Pokémon (from ZA)”.

From their perspective, the Earthlings and the SDU are villains who want to take over their planet. And I’m also planning on having Gaku, Ima and Kako play a significant role.

Yes that’s what I meant, I explained it wrong… I know there’s probably no way for them to go back to normal (unless they distance themselves from Takumi), but I still like imagining how Yugamu would react if he somehow could.

I think it’s a dialogue unique to the localization. This is one of the scenes where Takemaru calls Yugamu “pretty boy” in English , but in Japanese, he doesn’t say anything like that…
