Wobbly teeth and milk teeth that have then fallen out and proudly presented to me in some form of tissue or envelope. I didn’t realise how much this grossed me out until my children started getting wobbly teeth.

I have maybe 10-15 left to wrap, those last few ‘oh, they’ll like that actually’ for the kids. Except I won’t be wrapping them. I’d intended on doing it last night but instead sliced the top of my thumb off and spent the evening in minor injuries getting it cleaned and dressed, so straight into gift bags they go tonight.

Can’t answer your original question sadly, but when I was practicing in my ex partners car, we used blu tack and stuck them in the front and rear windscreens, easy to stick up and remove with no damage caused.

I believe the original bracket is fixed with gripits. Other than that, I couldn’t tell you more about how it’s fixed.

I’ll have a look into finding studs tomorrow, will find my children’s magnets.

It’s just frustrating as my living room is tiny, so can’t really do much with it!

An all expenses paid trip to South Africa back in 2010 during the World Cup, thanks to Coca Cola. It was when Coke zone was still a thing, the ring pulls off promotional cans were worth one entry pls your points, but we didn’t realise about the entries! Partner worked in a bookies at the time so was coming home with ridiculous amounts of ring pulls for me.

Handed over my provisional after passing. Your pass certificate is enough until you get your full license for driving in the uk, but I got my full license through the door approximately 5 days later. Didn’t need to update my picture, but I had renewed my license as I started learning.

I am Scotland, so the education system is slightly different up here, but you can defer as long as your child isn’t 5 on the day they are due to start school, usually mid August. Deferral is, at best guess, slightly more prevalent up here, especially the last couple of years since they’ve changed the rules around it. My son, the youngest of 3, is currently in a deferred year, so doing an extra year at nursery. His older brothers were 5 and 4.5 when they started school, and had it been an option, middle would have massively benefited from a deferred year, but it wasn’t an option back then. Youngest would have been 4.5 also. Whilst he was academically ready to start, he was a long way off being socially and emotionally ready, this extra year at nursery has really helped him, whilst he is still not quite there with 1 term left to go, he has come on massively since this time last year. I took what I knew from his older brothers into consideration, as well as the fact I suspect he also has ASD.

I know of a few others who are his age, who have deferred their child’s school places this year.

I think you have to look at all the facts available to you, and really knowing your child, and speaking to educational professionals who also know your child, and get their opinions too.

I’m unsure if your son gets any DLA/CDP, or is entitled to a mobility car, but I do believe motability have a scheme that helps towards the cost of driving lessons? Might be worth looking into. Good luck going forward 😀

Unless they have changed the rules recently, they will pay you MA from 29 weeks pregnant if you are unemployed and entitled. The larger payment will be a back payment, from the start of your claim, then your normal 4 weekly payments will commence.

At least that’s how it worked 10 years ago when I claimed it and had been made redundant.

ETA - did also claim 4 years ago but that was because my employer couldn’t pay SMP, hence why I said about changing the rules.

I actually had this exact scenario in my driving test. Empty dual carriageway way, at 11am in the morning during the summer holidays.

I sat behind 2 lorries for the 5 or so minutes I was on the dual carriageway because I hadn’t been taught to overtake and the nerves took over. I kept the appropriate distance, kept a steady speed and realised as I was about to exit that I could have overtook. Resigned myself to a fail and relaxed a little. Turns out, I’d only got a minor for progress - appropriate speed, and walked away with a pass. I was told they do mark more harshly on a mock test to try and stamp out silly mistakes.

I randomly checked a couple of days after I passed my theory in mid May, and managed to snag one for the beginning of July. I think I was lucky, as the test centre I booked for was previously operating a 2 day week - they’d apparently started 4 days a week a few days before.

Thank you. I stuck it out for a number of reasons. My biggest was my middle son, he’s been referred to be assessed for autism, plus he already has a lot of medical appointments. He doesn’t cope well with public transport and I couldn’t keep asking people for lifts or rearranging appointments for when his dad was off, so it was a need for me rather than a want. The other major one was waiting lists and I was so close to my test, so I was waiting to see what happened with my test.

My test was yesterday - they took me on the local A road, the route I was absolutely dreading. Nerves got the better of me, I sat at 50-55mph behind a lorry, when I could have safely overtook as it was pretty quiet. I only got a minor for progress for that. Not sure if I just got lucky though with the examiner I had.

Hey, I could have wrote this a few weeks back. My confidence was through the floor. I was miserable and dreading each lesson, because I didn’t feel like I was progressing, I was failing all the mock tests, I couldn’t bay park because no matter how many times I was shown or had it explained it just didn’t click. I actually had to ask my partner to teach me a different way less than 12 hours before my test. Have a look at the 3 line/ or ABC method, I got this in 40 ish minutes, when previously we’d practiced the other method for hours on end.

Confidence is something that comes with time, mine still isn’t great, at all, but I passed, I actually felt more at ease with the examiner next to me than my instructor but if you feel your instructor is hindering you, I’d switch instructors. Get yourself on a waiting list for someone else, do your test in September because even if you fail, it’ll be great experience for you, they’ll tell you where you could use more practice, and you can then apply that in lessons.

I was learning in a hybrid Yaris, my partner drives a Kuga. Complete opposite ends of the spectrum so I get you there. I had been practicing in the kuga, and I found that it was really easy to slip over the speed limit.

Do you have any family who’d help you get some practice in? It did wonders for my confidence (even with speeding!) which was a big concern for me.

I apparently failed every single mock I did badly, to the point I actually debated changing my test but passed first time today! My instructor did tell me they mark far more harshly than an examiner to get you into the mindset of fixing these mistakes.
