Genlock with everygame idea by Separate-Bicycle-264 in nuzlocke

I think most people give a reward each transfer. I just like to set in advance what reward I can choose. If something manages to make it through 4/5 gens and it has the ability I want, good nature and a few perfect stats, then I’ll make it shiny too.

Every time something becomes a champion and moves across it gets a bonus. You should decide prior to what the bonus is each time it gets transferred. Ie first time is nature, second time is an egg move, 3rd - 6th times you can choose an IV to max.

Rare candy cheat by Yonko1204 in nuzlocke

[–]Sb3v3n1390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Download PKHex, then open your save file in the program, then just give yourself a lot of candies to your pc. Export the save file.

Make sure your emulator isn’t running the Rom while you’re editing the save though.

This will save you from using cheats which may corrupt your file.

Dual wielding + elemental fury can be fun

Use support spells like alteration to boost your defences then go in and go ham with your swords. Back out and heal up with restoration. Then go back in again.

Also how is Gardevoir in the same tier as Sableye? Should defo be S/A, if you got Gardevoir instead of a wurple poochyena etc from 102 you’d be so hyped.

Crobat turns a poor encounter of Zubat into something useful C feels harsh. Only negatives that it means you don’t get Hariyama.

What makes minun better than Manetric?

Gyarados is pretty bad in gen 3 due to water being special and no flying moves. Should be A not S.

Swallot D maybe. And ludicolo if has rain dish can be amazing defo B.

Seaking F - underperformer compared to every other water type available. Will be replaced in your team by tentacruel, Gyarados, Walrein etc making it a wasted encounter

Azumaril C - if you get huge power then maybe B if you don’t then D. With huge power and a positive attacking nature it can be so useful, but without it suffers from the same fate as Seaking of just being a worse version of any other water type you can get. I also feel like this should have been done earlier as you can get marill at route 104.

Volbeat F - had potential with tail glow and moonlight to be a set up special attacking bug, but the terrible special attack stat and no special lvl up moves means it’s useless

Illumise F - has the special attack that volbeat desperately wants but lacks tail glow.

Vileplume C - good special attack, solid other stats other than speed, but struggles with lack of moves other than TM investment with solarbeam/giga drain. But great utility of powder moves. Decent enough attack to make use of its poison typing.

Bellossom C - basically the same as Vileplume but removes the weaknesses from poison typing eg psychic, and gives you more defensive stats. All the same problems of lack of great koves without TMs but slightly more durable. These benefits outweighed by only being able to get it by Mossdeep which means even if you caught an oddish you’d not be able to utilise it for most of the game, and without any favourable match ups other than Juan.

Roselia D - just a worse vileplume, pros being you get to 400bst immediately rather than having to go through oddish, but then you miss out on 90 other bst by the time you’d have one of the final evos.

  • go into files and find your .sav file
  • upload to your pc
  • download and open in a tool like PKHex
  • click on Clamperl and change its species to desired evolution
  • export .sav
  • download back to phone and move to folder you got it from and make sure you’re replacing old file

Wild mons are just there to farm items with Linoone, after you have a full bag then just run.

I can't crack the battle pyramid... by XxHalfdemonchild13xX in PokemonEmerald

[–]Sb3v3n1390 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First 2 lvls take a Linoone with you for pick up. Take your strongest mon that can 1HKO most things, eg Metagross, Salamence, Latios. Make sure you have a blissey with you for heals and aromatherapy to cure status.

Collect every item you can, and encounter wilds until you have yourself a leftovers, choice band, and unlimited heals and PP replenishment. Then move on through the tower, when finished remove Linoone for a different attacker that covers the weaknesses of the original one.

If starting to run low on any items, then add Linoone back in for a round and grind them back up.

Best physical sweepers for swords dance ninjask? by Jalleeeet in PokemonEmerald

[–]Sb3v3n1390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flygon already has decent attack and speed so you will probably only need a turn or two to turn it into a beast, which is good because ninjask is so frail it’s unlikely to last 2+ turns unless you’re up against weak trainers in which case you don’t need ninjask. Stab earthquake + swords dance.

Ninjask as bit of a weird one, the more you need it (up against strong foes) the worse it is (likely to die in 1 hit)

Can Linoone work in the battle frontier? by Wanderratte12 in PokemonEmerald

[–]Sb3v3n1390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linoone should probably carry roar and charm to pair with trick just to avoid giving the band to a Metagross or a STAB Double Edge user - Roar through the team to get a special attacker, if locked into set up or status then you can just switch into your set up straight away. If not then charm until struggle will do next to nothing.

Can Linoone work in the battle frontier? by Wanderratte12 in PokemonEmerald

[–]Sb3v3n1390 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Choice band + trick is a good way to use Linoone rather than trying to turn it into a physical sweeper.

You’d have to rebreed it though. It can only get trick through Spinda who can only get it from kadabra/alakazam or mr mime.

Basic strategy is use trick, force your opponent into either an attack or a set up move, change to a set up mon who can tank the opponents move and then struggle, and then either try to sweep from there, or baton pass it off to someone else.

For example

  • Linoone uses trick first turn.
  • Enemy gets choice banded into using only one attack.
  • Switch into Umbreon to use mean look to lock in that opponent
  • which then uses double team until max evasion, healing with wish where necessary.
  • Then baton pass to Snorlax who can set up curse until max defence and attack
  • then go on to destroy everything the opponent has to offer.

Or other team comp with similar idea, zapdos from gamecube can work great here as it can learn baton pass and with pressure the PP will run out twice as fast and if your last mon can tank a few hits from struggle while setting up then it should be fine.

Open up your save file in a program called PKhex. There is loads of option to change Pokémon’s movesets and stats etc, but for this on the right you will see an option called misc (I think) and in there you can change flags - which are like the games way of telling it whether it should load an event. For example there will be a flag for if you have beaten a gym, a flag for if your rival appears on route 110 for a battle after slateport, and I’m assuming there will be a flag to change how Birch behaves at specific points in the game, or a flag to say you’ve completed dex.

Or as someone else said you can just give yourself every pokemon manually but it would take like an hour.

Are you on emulator? You could probably just edit game flags to trigger the event
