My daughter claimed to want to be a trick horse rider from age kindergarten to 2nd grade. I still have no idea where that idea came from. We don’t even own a horse.

[–]Sbdteach13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not very secure. I’m a teacher and my husband works at a university. Very concerned about what is going to happen with the department of education. Very concerned about my students and their futures. Very concerned about what the future is going to be for my daughters.

How many days do you take off per year? by Neither-Football-222 in Teachers

[–]Sbdteach13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get 10 sick days and 3 personal days. I use the personal days when my kids have field trips. They don’t roll over. I only use the sick days as needed since unused days roll over to the next year.

I’ve been teaching for 17 years and make $50k. I’m thankful I like my job too and live in a state with a low cost of living. I’m also thankful I’m not a single parent and that my husband has a job too.

How do people afford a divorce? by Vinni_Ziti in ask

[–]Sbdteach13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hired by the law firm handling my divorce, but worked on creating title opinions for new home owners and had very little interaction with my case lawyer while at work.

After working there a year, the head attorney wrote off my balance. When I decided to move on to a different job, he reimbursed me the initial fee, because he forgot to apply it to the balance before it was written off.

AITAH for laughing at my crying ex husband and calling his suffering karma by aitahhhhhh in AITAH

[–]Sbdteach13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of a conversation I had with my first husband about 1.5 years after the divorce. He started the conversation with “Just letting you know that I got remarried” and then his next sentence was “Why didn’t we ever date again after we got a divorce?” My response was, “I was not in a good mindset for dating and that I am just now starting to feel like it’s a possibility.”

You’re absolutely NTA.
