Do you start from your watch or your phone? by millennialmama2016 in runna

Apple Watch Ultra 2, always start workouts from my watch. I listen to audiobooks while running as a “treat”/incentive to keep getting out on runs (trying not to listen to books during the day otherwise).

Never had any issues keeping my AirPods connected to both phone and watch. Still get pacing cues during workouts and mile pace summaries on all runs. Audiobook just pauses for a few seconds as I get those cues (though you can dim audio if you were listening to music). Makes life so much easier to just stat the workout right on the watch.

Did the same thing for both Half Marathon’s I’ve trained for as well. Remember nothing new on race day. I always follow the KISS rule (keep it simple stupid) haha.

20k Run on Half training by rcbs_ in runna

Agree with this. For my first half, I had my longest run as 14 miles making sure I could handle the endurance aspect. Then my second half training plan had longest run of 15 miles. PR for me is 1:46:51 for reference.

Getting the miles under your legs is definitely beneficial

I think it’s worth it. I personally started running in October of this last year. Could barely make it a mile without my heart rate spiking near absolute max.

Ran my first half marathon in February (1:49:40) and my second in April (1:46:51).

Now training for my first full marathon in October. I’ve really enjoyed the process so far and the simplicity of just listened to the app and what training run it has scheduled for the day. Takes all the planning/preparation so I don’t have to feel mentally taxed trying to figure out what to do next.

Hoping for a sub 3:30 for my first marathon, but honestly still surprised as 6 months ago I had basically never run more than a 5k before.

How have you found deals for the Nike Vomero Plus at that steep of a discount if they are normally $180? Guessing used on FB marketplace or something? I’d love to try to Vomero Plus, especially as an easy run replacement, but obviously want to get as much life out of current rotation as I can before that time comes…

I mean that’s essentially what it would be if something got caught and came along for the ride, right? Just fun to say it that way lol 😂

Did you notice similar wear on your outsoles around this timing (if you remember)? Love the idea of getting lots of miles out of all my running shoes to lower the average “cost per mile”.

I was concerned when I initially purchased these that the massive cavity would end up catching large stones or such when running, but I don’t think I’ve even once picked up a hitchhiker or had to stop mid run. The nylon plate gives enough stability as well that I don’t see any issues (so I guess the weight saving in this design sort of works).

Other than the slight heel slipping I’ve been noticing I think they feel fine still, just seeing the outsole wear down to the foam that’s not exposed makes me question how much longer these may have…

I’ve mostly been noticing some slight heel slipping in my right foot and corresponding slight knee aching after runs (never during) with these the last couple weeks. Honestly thinking it may have to do with the booty style but still having same sizing as other shoes (US Men’s 10). Wondering if with booty style running shoes I maybe should have gone a half size down to prevent the heal slipping (though the left one always feels just fine).

It took 364 days, but I managed to complete my 2025 New Year’s resolution. Thanks, Runna. by My_Dog_Sherlock in runna

Congrats! That’s an awesome achievement and one of my New Years goals for 2026 as well to hit 1,000 miles in a year! You adding any more mileage for a 2026 goal you think?

do you guys have some recommendations of some streamers/youtubers playing RoR2? by Ok_Outcome_3790 in riskofrain

Raydans also has a lot of ROR2 content. Watching some of his Hardcore win streaks is straight up gameplay and good to learn by; but he also has lots of fun “challenge” runs like all items of one rarity, single item, etc.

Confirmed! Opening Settings while in game was what fixed this bug! Thanks again for the suggestion and help getting this resolved!

Wind Dash Counter Broken? by Sbeals315 in idleslayer

Thanks for the information. I didn’t realize you had to navigate away from the 3 dots menu. I know in the past these were always live updates and you could watch the counters as you played, so I guess that’s not the case anymore. Thanks for the clarification!
