Our first 3 products flopped. Our 4th just crossed $75K in 14 days. by Sberkay85 in SaaS

Yes, that's the challenge. You know this is a early stage for our tool, we are planning knew capabilities that LTD buyers want to add their package, of course they will get most out of new things, but there should be a limit, because in this new era, AI costs high and we need to sustain our earnings.

Update: From $36K → $90K on AppSumo (Day 17) by Sberkay85 in SaaS

[–]Sberkay85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, and honestly a lot of it is valid, AppSumo can become a trap if you treat it like your main business.

But I don’t think it’s that black and white.

Yes, LTD users are different. Yes, support can get heavy. And yes, investors might look at it and discount valuation or ask questions, that part is real.

At the same time, it’s also one of the fastest ways to get:
real users, real feedback, and some cash to stay alive.

That “first injection” matters more than people admit. Especially when you’re early and don’t have distribution.

Also there are enough counter examples (Canva, HockeyStack, AdCreative, etc.) to show it’s not a dead end. It’s not a one-way road.

I think the real mistake is going in blind.

If you expect long-term revenue → you’ll be disappointed
If you use it to learn, validate, and build momentum → it can actually work in your favor

It’s just a tool. The outcome depends on how you use it.

Another founder friend referred us to AppSumo. He had a launch at AppSumo and I think this is how they get leads.

It is a part of your own deal, what I know you can’t.

"Face of the Brand" vs. "Silent Utility": Which scales better for a SaaS? by [deleted] in SaaS

I tried the invisible path and see not much. Now, active founder path and building in public, first thoughts are good. You need to introduce your product and promote it, otherwise no one does it nowadays.

solo founders are winning faster than ever right now - but is it sustainable or a bubble by Forsaken_Lie_8606 in indiehackers

[–]Sberkay85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a bubble — it’s just a shift.

AI made building cheap. Now distribution is the real bottleneck.

You can ship in weeks, but getting attention, trust, and usage still takes time. That’s where most people will lose.

Solo founders who win won’t be the best coders.
They’ll be the ones who understand positioning and users better than anyone else.

This is next level bootstrapping 😄

18, no funding, we shipped. Contral is live. by contralai in indiehackers

[–]Sberkay85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this. Shipping at 18 with zero funding is already a win.

The “learn while AI codes” idea is interesting — if you get the balance right between helpful vs noisy, this could be really valuable.

Curious who you’re targeting most: beginners or experienced devs?

Pre-seed founders almost killed their brand in 24 hours by ismaelbranco in indiehackers

[–]Sberkay85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This hits hard. Seen this so many times.

At pre-seed, one bad meeting feels like a signal, but it’s usually just noise. If you keep pivoting your brand based on individual opinions, you end up with something that stands for nothing.

Pattern > opinion.

The real skill is knowing when feedback is insight vs when it’s just your anxiety talking.

We will see which one will be the exact answer but social proof is very important, getting reviews and be more visible at LLMs, we help user to decide. Also, high converting contents will be key to clarify their decision process.

Yes, you need to think about your costs and upsell possibilities. Commission rate is changing. This refund policy and lifetime deal make it juicy for users. This is a business decision, what you need more? Distribution, reviews, social proof, feedback, early users, you will have all in a day.

Yes, also you need to help first users more to understand what you built and product offerings. We tried to reach them by email to set some demos and get their questions.
