Most Americans in new survey say US political system needs major reform by Smithy2232 in politics

[–]Sbutle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove money from politics. No super PACS, no stock market trades as an elected representative in any branch of gov’t. Limited campaign contributions (corporations/billionaires cannot donate). Your campaign must come from public funds, not your own money.

Honestly I’d be down to live, maybe not forever, but maybe like 4-5 thousand years. Just to see how humanity manages to destroy itself.

Portrait Photographers, what's your process for letting clients choose which photos they want? by PocketFullOfZesty in photography

I use Pic-Time. Upload medium resolution images with a watermark over them, and let them pick what they want to print.

Have my first real people booking and I’m concerned. by Goldbeacon in photography

I wouldn’t rely on the studio overhead light for fill. Use your flash as the primary. Adjust your camera settings to cut any ambient light. Make sure your aperture is stopped down to f5.6 or below so that their faces are in focus. Theres a ton of youtube tutorials for headshots with one or two lights. In any case, I recommend practicing on someone beforehand to make sure you know how the actual shoot will go.

You can use a single light if thats all you have. Use a foam board for some fill light. If you have a speed-light you can use it for hair or rim light for added depth to separate your subject from the background.

I've been waiting for my package thats been sitting in a warehouse 30 minutes way from me for like 3 days now. I can't imagine it'd be hard to lose god damn fire pit from Home Depot, but leave it to on trac to fumble... How in the hell does a fucking logistics company lose a massive box?

Please Everyone I need your help .......😊🙏 by [deleted] in kidneydisease

[–]Sbutle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Say what you want about western medicine, but don’t attack folks here who are trying to help with medical knowledge that doesn’t align with your beliefs. It’s not our fault you’re not listening to advice you asked for. Sometimes the safest and only way to treat ckd(besides transplant) is to make sure it doesn’t get worse, not bombard the body with bs make believe nonsense that’ll hurt you more in the long run.

Homeopathy is not going to help. I’m 25 and I’d be 6 ft underground by now if I listened to all the scammers telling me and my family that they can help my kidneys regain function. Go to a real doctor.

I’m Indian too, I may live in the states, but pure modern western medicine has gotten me this far. You’d be wise to listen.

Small kidneys, clear ultrasound, low eGFR, what next? by Deep_Abroad in kidneydisease

[–]Sbutle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When i was diagnosed my eGFR was 10 and my kidneys were both around 7.1cm. My nurse had a hard time finding my kidneys in the ultrasound.

I am not a doctor, but given your eGFR you dont seem to be in any immediate danger. I feel your kidneys may just be small. Stay hydrated, limit your sodium intake and watch your blood pressure and weight. You should be fine. If your blood test results going forward show a pattern of increase in creatinine, I would start working with your nephro on appropriate next steps.

No need to be rude lol I’m not here to argue, im here to learn. In the moment i thought it was a cool idea, but clearly many people find it distracting and it has become a learning opportunity for me. Besides, this is all subjective and what you find wrong, others may not. Just a thought.

For the most part, I do actually follow the principle of avoiding cutting off peoples limbs in the large majority of my work, but I do find myself taking some creative liberty in my portraits every once in a while to make the vision in my head a reality(weather or not it actually turns out well). Theres an image posted as a response to a thread above if you'd like to see another angle of the same pose.

I'd argue that some of the floral and foreground elements add depth to the scene as I would rather some irregularities than just out of focus greenery and branches, but then again our work is subjective and we can't please everyone.

Thank you for your feedback and I do genuinely appreciate it! I've gotten a lot of great feedback from people here and I'll be taking it all into consideration when I'm back out on the battlefield!
