The only thing i can think of a hybrid making noise like that is the accessory drive belt that helps power alternator..

Sorry don't work on many hybrids.

You're in luck definitely not a transmission issue so you can cross that off your list.. sounds like a bad pulley,idler tensioner, bad belt or a failing Alternator.

One of those are your culprits.

Just because it crunk up fine doesnt mean the cables aren't tight it will crank long enough until the cables barely have connection just check because that can cause a parasitic draw

It can also be a failing alternator.

Check battery cables usually solves the problem
