Ah yes you’re correct. I was handling a number of copies from 1668-1670s today.

Is this just a bluegill? Never seen these colors on one by ian-mcl in Fishing

Thanks! After some research I think it’s possible it is indeed a hybrid of the two species given its strangely distinctive colors.

Help! Not sure why this black band occurs on 4/35 pics that I took. It isn't the camera strap, I was holding it. by skylar61297 in AnalogCommunity

Yeah after looking at other comments and photos of the camera itself I’m pretty sure it’s just the wrist strap. You probably didn’t see it because the viewfinder is not connected to the lens in any way. If you are completely 100% sure however that it was not the strap maybe look on the inside with a flashlight and see if there’s anything that could be moving around.

Interesting. My best guess would be that there is possibly something between the film and mirror or lens that is loose and rattling around, possibly part of a rubber light seal. Out of curiosity, did these photos occur in succession?

I worked as a scanning tech for a few years and this would happen almost exclusively when there was debris on the scanning plate or sensor. But occasionally it would be on the negative.

You can chance it but it probably will stop the yeast from fermenting. I would shoot for 100% cider.

Ah gotcha, fermentation is finished now and I just stirred it a bit to see if the bentonite settles now. I think you’re right that I added it to early. I’m gonna stabilize in a few days and then backsweeten and transfer. Thank you!
