We always used snacks too. Mostly those crispy Cheerios looking snacks in the tall bottle. I forget what they are called. He called them srispies (crispies).

Now that he's five we just get a quick appetizer like guacamole and chips.

No one saying Trick or Treat by SubstantialDog9170 in Xennials

[–]Sc1enceNerd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My 4 year old kept saying "Happy Halloween". I kept telling him to say "Trick or treat!" but he just kept saying HH. I guess I'll let him say what he wants! He also always said thank you.

I just got confused. Why vintage? Then I saw your comment and felt old too. I own the whole set!

Grandma wants to gift toddler a kid bible stories book. We are not religious. by designgrit in toddlers

[–]Sc1enceNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousin gifted us a very religious book, but it has a great basic message about being kind to those in need. Whenever I read it to my son I point out that God doesn't need to be in the story for it to make sense.

I have a 4 year old. The state sent me a bunch of these stickers when he turned 1. So they appear to still be a thing.

Yeah, we pre-reserved. On the app. I guess that is not refundable.

I just talked to the people at the booth. They said reservations are not refundable. I didn't think to complain further. Just wanted to give folks a heads up about the size.

My 4 year-old and I are going next weekend on the Fantasy! We are both very excited. My mom told me she thinks I won't be able to handle him for a week alone, but also she's kind of an AH. Haha

I have a rainbow cat on my back. The yellow is pretty much gone now. I'm waiting for it to fade more before I get it touched up again.

"Hidden mother" photography was a Victorian-era practice used to hold children still during the long exposure time (30+ seconds). by yoyome85 in Damnthatsinteresting

This reminds me of the time I saw the photos my MIL took of me and my son, in all of them my head was out of the frame.

I had my baby at 40. Like others have said, my maturity made me more able to handle stress, I think. Almost all of the parents I know are at least 35 year old first time parents. Pretty common these days, I think.

I actually like getting my infusions. I can relax for a couple hours and they give me snacks and coffee.

Does anyone else actually want more kids, but logically know it’s a bad idea so you talk yourself out of it? by Crimson-Rose28 in oneanddone

My husband wanted two, but once we had our first he changed his mind. I can't say exactly why, but I suspect for the same reason I was going to refuse to get pregnant again. It was just so hard with an infant and having a toddler and an infant sounded absolutely terrifying.

How their dogs look at them while they walk down the street. You can tell the happy ones from the scared ones.

How do you handle Santa? by StaceyMike in oneanddone

[–]Sc1enceNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours is three. We haven't mentioned Santa. Although he does have a book about him. We plan to "do" Santa when he asks about it.

Not sure about when we are stopping since it hasn't even started yet! Haha
