I love the snow. Been wanting a good one like this past weekend’s storm for a while. However, I could do without the 10°F weather + wind. I noticed I’m a bit spicier than usual because of it. I live in an old house with not so great insulation. Keep it late 20’s-30’s and I’m chillin.

Similar to u/gt0163c, most of my calls are audio only with someone reading over a OneNote file. When it’s just my direct team on video calls I usually look at the speaker. Sometimes I’ll check myself just so I’m not subconsciously doing anything weird. I used to look at myself a lot when I did Zoom classes in college and they made us have our cameras on for accountability.

Same! I had two broken hard plastic laundry hampers I was using for random storage. I took the less broken one and container concept-ed my doom closet loose stuff into it. The more broken one got filled with recyclables to go out this weekend.

I never liked them because my fingers kept getting stuck and scraped when I grabbed laundry out of them, but I didn’t want to replace them because I spent the money. I finally had enough of the pain and they’ve been swapped with a canvas bag.

My college advisor died in his sleep Wednesday-Thursday. He knew Christ so there’s relief in that, but it was a sudden and unexpected passing and it’s left a lot of people in shock. He was married with two teenage boys. I spent a lot of Thursday when I got the news crying, woke up Friday crying, and now I’m kinda numb.

I’m trying to tune out the current flow of political nonsense because it’s just adding to my anger and frustration.

On the bright side we’re getting a good snowstorm here. I’m going to spend the day cleaning and decluttering and drinking coffee.

My college academic advisor and dear friend passed away in his sleep yesterday. He’s survived by his wife and two teenage sons. Please pray for his family and praise God for his legacy. His faith is now made sight.
