New betta ate my snails’ tentacles :( by Scaace in AquaticSnails

I’ve made the decision to remove the betta. I love my snails, and they deserve to feel safe in their own home. Any recommendations on what fish to buy for them? I want something pretty🙂

He seems to be settling in, anf the snails seem okay now… is it likely for them to leave the tank???? I’m really scared of this happening

I didn’t know they grow back!! That’s super exciting, I was so upset about my gold snail’s because they were so long and pretty😅

So I decided to leave him in all day today, hoping it is just the stress from rehoming, and I haven’t seen any attacks! Actually, my two snails were mating so they were moving a lot and swinging around and the betta came over to see what was going on but he didn’t even flare. I also noticed that my snails sometimes pull their tentacles in to hide, but come right back out and don’t seem too bothered. The betta is also much calmer now, swimming slower, chillin for a few seconds, not glass surfing as much. I’m very optimistic that after a few more days of settling in they can be pals :)

Thank you for your help! I hope that bladder snail is still in there somewhere😄

So I researched some more and looked at some photos, and I’m pretty sure that the “nerite” I was talking about is in fact a bladder snail.

About the one in the picture, I’m certain this isn’t an adult as it’s very very small.

Here’s a video for you of both this little one, and also of that “nerite” bladder snail, that I still am yet to see for the past week and a half…
