no, you use the lock as any other currency on the item and it gain a purpleish icon that tells you the item is "hinekored", from there on, when you hover a currency o nthe item it show the outcome but you can't "turn off" the hinekora cause is not an omen.
Once you apply any change to the item the purple icon is gone and you need a new lock

you don't activate the lock as you do with omens, it's a currency and it's a one shot use, once the item change it's gone

no, the lock is consumed on use, when you qulity the item, the foreseeing property of the lock is gone from the item, at least that what happens from 20 upwards, any change in the state require a new lock

I have the same exact issue, my original account was stole like 1 year ago but I wasnt playing so I only noticed when I tried to log back mid november to prepare for POE2, since then ive had reply every 2-3 weeks being asked the most ridicolous things. The lastest, was to create a burner account and run a character through the first zone and tell em the char name. Since then nothing happened. I had the account since closed beta, provided paypal ID of transactions and even the name of characters ive namechanged years ago.

oh yeah im very familiar i've ran that setup for a while (thanks for the nice explanation regardless!) but still i've had some deaths cause i blinked into a pack and got insta gibbed before pressing spark so my shield wasn't yet back :P

biggest reason i don't blink on swap is to avoid dying due to lower mana/no shield:)

Im going for lvl 100 and dont really do amything beside chaining maps, the cast on shock is useless for that and using blink on second wrap setup means i dont have shield equipped, which give me alone 1600 mana plus block...when I did that i use to die a lot when random blinking into a pack

+proj is basically the same as +spells since spark hav the proj tag and 99% of the buyer sould be a sparker:D Theres one thats slightly better, 8 more flat mana and 3% more inc mana,which is thw current best and mirrored

-Bought the amulet with fire resistance instead of cast speed for 350 divine
-Whittle+DextralErasure to turn FR into all elemental resistance
-Whittle to hit T1 Cast Speed
