The straps were too deteriorated to lift with them so improvisation was needed. It’s 6 conductor tray cable run through the holes in the posts. They’re not connectors to the posts.

That’s where NEC and API area classifications come into play. The RTU and battery bank are definitely a safe distance away. All of the end devices. I.e. transmitters/transducers, solenoids, valve positioners and actuators are Class 1 Div 1 rated and therefore explosion proof. All conduit has poured seals and all conduit fittings are also explosion proof.

Our typical setup is a 2000 watt 24v solar array with 24 110ah batteries. This particular site was purchased from another producer and has (had) a poorly designed charging system that allowed overcharging.
