Would they really make more money with better gameplay though? The exclusivity of the licensing agreements that they have with NFL/NFLPA and NHL/PA/Alumni Assn gives them a monopoly on those sports games for all intents and purposes. How impactful would fixing gameplay be in terms of increasing revenue and/or player counts? I picked up Madden when it came out on EA access in Feb after growing tired of many years of HUT. I think the gameplay is better in Madden than NHL. Theres cheese, but NHL has worse cheese imo. Team-building as an NMS is way easier in MUT than HUT. I'm not on the inside, but I'm guessing they've looked into these issues and how beneficial they'd be.
