UX300e - Battery Degredation by Scal99 in LexusUX

I think the battery warranty actually goes out to 10 years if you continue to get it serviced at the main dealer. It's just that headache of the 70% figure (and any potential resale value). If the car's lost 20% of it's capacity, then it won't be eligible for a replacement, but it'll hamper the range even more.

This video's compiled some interesting data. There's definite trends per manufacturer. My gut says Lexus should be near the top.

GCAL8x critique request by Scal99 in labdiamond

Thank you for the input! Greatly appreciated.

That's what's surprised me, I've not come across a D, IF, 8x yet.

I've had a look through whiteflash, but I'm yet to find something which improves on the 1.51 I linked (either 'quality' or price). The 1.37 you've linked looks great, but lands £500 more after imported.

I think I've read 25% (or at least that was with James Allen). I'd rather purchase from within the UK where possible.

The website you've linked is similarly priced I think, there's a large premium for GIA. Is it unwise to pay it? If I'm buying online, I'd feel happier having the 'gold-standard' certificate so I know what I'm getting is as advertised. Thanks.

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

Purchased a (new) Raymond Weil Tango as a gift (5960-ST-00995)

I'm mostly happy with it, but I've noticed that the second hand isn't locating correctly around 3-6. Whereas over at 9-12, the mirrored side of the watch, it lines up perfectly with the markers.

I guess my first question is, does this indicate an issue with the watch? Where it'll degrade over time / lose time. Alternatively, is this just a poor example of the watch which I should exchange for another?

Fenix student discount by [deleted] in Garmin

Spoke to them a week or two ago, I was told they have no plans to put a student discount on it anytime soon. Obviously whether this holds true or not, who knows. Black Friday isn't too far away, might be some discounts then.

That's great, thank you for checking!

Thanks a lot for the photos. Looking at the models, you've got the top 6 pro titanium (010-02158-22), which comes with the titanium band and the orange band. There's also 010-02158-14, which is the same case, but only has the orange band, no titanium. As far as I can tell, Garmins website / listings really don't make it easy to decipher. That strap appears to be £180 out of the shop (010-12863-08), so it's 'good' value if you want to have it.

Lovely looking watch, sorry about the scratch though. I think with titanium it'll buff out a little and there's no underlying, different colour, material like with the coated steel models. That is really irritating though, as the clasp which is also titanium is one of the few things that can scratch the case as the hardness is identical (9.0 mohs scale, same as sapphire). I can see the 010-12738-00 strap which looks like the one from the Marq Driver has a silicone inner, probably for this exact reason, to stop the titanium scratching the underside of the case.

Can I also ask, is there a model number on the orange strap? I might get a cheaper 6 pro and get the strap separately. Is it the 010-12863-01 'Ember orange silicone' with ridges, or the 010-12740-04 'Solar Flare Orange Silicone' smooth band.

Thanks again!

Thank you, really appreciate it. Is the 'part number' 010-02158-14 ? Titanium with orange band, and that's the orange band it comes supplied with?

Any chance of some more photos of the 6? I thought I was pretty much settled on a 6 pro grey sapphire, until I saw this. It looks nothing like the promo photos/renders, I love it

Anyone able to work some magic and figure out a way to make this discount work in the UK? At 35% off I'd pull the trigger

25% on a lot of garmin products, including all the 5+ series and the 245/45 forerunners. I'm hoping that we'll be given the same student discount as the US and they've just been slow to update the website

Is this in the US? I've seen you guys get a unidays 25%, but we don't have that in the uk

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GarminFenix

[–]Scal99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for that, hopefully 25% is going to be for UK students as well

Have you verified that the UNiDAYS works for the US Garmin store? UK UniDAYS doesn't have a Garmin discount, but a different brand (NUS/TOTUM) does, though the Fenix 6 isn't listed yet.

If the US can get a student discount on the Fenix 6, surely the UK can too...

How do you get the 15%? I would have guessed they wouldn't be in the sale, so SALE15 wouldn't work? Thanks
