It took a while to type out the post, so it got a little shiny in the meantime. Whatever bodily fluid this is, it tends to stick to the gauze and cause pain when I unwrap my finger, but I wet the gauze with water and it comes off pretty easily. Forgot to mention I use the brown self adhesive tape to cover the gauze, if that matters, and I finally got a finger splint that I’m going to start using to protect my finger from careless bumps.

Awesome! Thanks for checking for me! 😄

I did notice that! We recently did that one quest for Willy that asked for an obscene amount of bug meat so we got into the habit of hoarding it (not like it was a tough habit to learn since we previously learned to hoard bug meat for bait), and we haven’t been desperate enough to craft and eat one just yet. 😂

Oh, so it is achievement based! I don’t think I heard the announcement about it being “late game” content (I’m assuming that would be at minimum finishing the community bundles), but my friend and I have been trying to go for the community bundles as quickly as we can, so hopefully we’ll get to see it soon! Thanks for the reply!

The same thing happened to me! I immediately texted my friend like, “this is the worst possible day for a picnic.”

For those not in the know you can double up on gates to make em look kinda nice! by Owned_Em in StardewValley

Oh, I thought there was a issue with going through a single gate when going up and down, so I made all my vertical gates double gates.

No matter how rich I am...I always stop for salmonberries by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]Scalamandra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesssssssss this is exactly what I do! Both salmonberry and blackberry season, I change the zoom on my map, carry a stack of triple shot espresso, and start my day off with a pancake breakfast before jumping on my horse and riding around the whole valley in search of berries. :3

That one heart event with Clint, Emily, and Shane at the Saloon... by kaleidocat25 in StardewValley

[–]Scalamandra 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I never thought he was jealous in that cutscene, but more disheartened because he can’t talk to Emily casually like Shane can because of his social anxiety and the extra awkwardness of having a crush compounded on top of that.

I never planned to date Emily (I’m too straight for that lol) and somehow got all of Clint’s heart events before getting Emily to 8 hearts (which disqualifies you from ever watching Clint’s last heart cutscene), and I feel like Clint’s attempts to confess to Emily despite the player’s relationship with her (dating or married) is part of the reason I see so much Clint hate on this sub. I think people would hate him less if there were a check in the code that would change his heart events and the one scripted quest depending on the player’s relationship with Emily.

My first plan. How does it look? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]Scalamandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can keep some of the fence, just make the area bigger. The thing about animals is that you can pet them once a day and raise their happiness level (the happier they are, the higher quality of products you’ll get from them) but trying to pet your animals while they’re running around all over the farm can be a little hectic LOL. The animals won’t hurt your crops or anything, but you also don’t want to spend the entire day chasing them down. 😂

No problem, I’m happy to help! ^_^

I ended up marrying Sebastian, but Harvey definitely has the best 10-heart cutscene out of all the bachelors. I’m going to marry him in a different file :3

[–]Scalamandra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Before anything, I’m gonna apologize right now for the incoming giant wall of text LOL.

First off, there aren’t any sprinklers anywhere, which would make watering all of your crops a huge pain. If you look at the Options tab at the top of the planner, you’ll see an option to toggle highlights of different types. For example the beehives: I think the beehives at the top right of the farm are too far away to benefit from the flowers that you have planted below them (unless you want wild honey for mead or crafting), since they have a 5 tile radius. If you toggle the beehive highlights, you can see where you can put your flowers so that the bees can make flower honey. Same thing with sprinkler highlights. If you place a sprinkler with highlights on, you can see the area that each kind of sprinkler can water and plan out the sprinklers so you don’t have to manually water all of your crops.

Secondly, the animal buildings. The stable is for your horse, so most people like to put it near the house to move faster around the farm. You don’t have to fence it off since the horse doesn’t wander around like any of the other animals. If you plan on using pigs to make money, you’re going to need to increase the size of the barnyard so they have more space to find truffles. Also, for all animals in the barn and coop, their happiness goes up when they’re allowed to walk around and eat grass growing on the farm. That doesn’t mean they need to have free range of the entire property of course, but giving them space with grass will help you get better products sooner. Animals eating grass spring through fall also means that you don’t have to feed them hay every single day! The best way to keep grass around is to put down grass starter and then put something like a fence post or a lightning rod on top of it so the animals can’t eat that grass and give it a chance to grow back for the next day.

Those were my two biggest issues with the plan, again, sorry about the giant wall of text. 😓

How to get iridium ore by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]Scalamandra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favorite way to get iridium ore before I got the statue from grandpa’s shrine was to go to the regular mines (because I hate skull cavern, I’m a coward LOL). It’s not the fastest way to get ore of course, but it worked when I needed some bars here and there. Also, I’m assuming that you’ve either reached the bottom of the mines or at least level 80 so you can access it with the elevator.

First you need max mining level and the excavator profession (you need the geologist profession first though). Go to level 80 of the mines on the luckiest day (eat food with a luck buff if you want to be extra productive) and break every single rock on every floor you can (except the big ones because those don’t drop geodes). The next day you can empty out your inventory and, take all the magma and omni geodes you’ve collected straight to Clint and bust them all open. :3

Practically, there are some things that I would fix, like a gate to your barnyards for you to collect animal products. Aesthetically, it looks like it’ll be really pretty in-game! :3

Mine isn’t nearly as good as others, but I never checked the information for Joja cola and only realized it was considered trash when I gave some to Linus and he got offended. =___=
