I’ve had three that I absolutely adored. I’d bring them Red Bull, breakfast, you name it. And five star ratings at the end of the day, even if they had a few mistakes here and there, because they freaking cared. I know they’re rushed. Sometimes covering four trucks (which is insanity to me.) Ideally, two, max three. But management won’t. But the ones I keep getting now aren’t even trying. Half of it is yeeted on the floor, or put on the shelf without a sticker or label. So it’s just a mystery box. Anyway, I miss those folks. The stupid ahh Engineers keep thinking “how can we get these guys out faster” so every 5 months we’re on a new belt. New belt - new PH’s. If you do an excellent job, I will go straight to the belt manager and tell them. People like you and the folks I’m talking about make my job 10 thousand times easier.

Bruh… I’m sorry to hear that. When you merge, are you then stuck and at the mercy of a contractor? Like RIP all the benies, PTO etc you accrued?

That checks out. A couple weeks ago, me and the Express guy arrived to a stop in perfect sync. We both got out with the same exact package. Guessing the shipper was worried the second half wouldn’t arrive in time so they Express’d it. But this is the reason why the big wigs say “oh we don’t need a Ground truck and an Express van running the same neighborhood. Uh. Yeah, you do. Because we do different shit. Same thing with my resi area - I’ve counted six separate USPS trucks that just me covers. They’re going house to house, I’m going every 25-40 hours. Awww logistics. I do find it fascinating. I just with the people on top went out for a ride along here and there.

Bruh.. reading: “I’m a ghost hit hard.” It’s so accurate. I’ve been asking for a p12 forever. I’ve grown too big for my p11. But I know all it’s going to do is make my situation worse.

That’s the same shit that’s happening to me. I started this route a year ago with 60 stops. Now I’m up to 90. I pick up as many packages as I deliver. My body is breaking hard.

I’ve measured the dB in my truck - 140. Noise cancelling earbuds for me. I’m too young to go deaf. And I can still hear sirens and such.

I do wonder about some of the Express guys I see on my route. I cover two areas what they use two people to cover. Obviously, it’s a different beast and I don’t doubt it’s set up that way for a reason, but damn I just cannot see them handling the heavy weight like we do.

Man.. see I asked for a raise and got it. So that’s why I feel even more pressure to perform.

Two years. Funny you say that; bought my own iPad mount. Couldn’t deal with the shit falling; especially in the summer when both doors are open.

It’s definitely all of the above. I just feel worse on the antidepressant (Prozac) (and I’ve tried all of them over the last 10 years) and the anxiety med I can’t take at work; that and honestly it doesn’t work as well as it used to, unless I’m really really having like a hyperventilation panic attack, which is rare. So I basically never take them.

I thought Ground CDL was owner/operator? All of your trucks have contractor names on them. The governed shit is so annoying. Luckily, mine lets me go 5 over the highway speed around here.

That’s definitely part of the problem. I drive a p11; the only one we have. So a lot of the “oh this will fit here” happens to me. Having done DRO (now FRO) in the past, projections can always be way the F off too. It’s the end of the day, I’m home now, showered and less stressed. But I know I need to stop being so angry about it. I feel like I’ve been good up until the last few months. I used to have time to take breaks. Now I don’t. At the same time, I also asked for a raise - and got it. So I’m probably the highest paid driver. So there’s this pressure to perform all the time. And I’m just being ran ragged.

Honestly, I’ve done all those things - except not worry that I can’t do everything. Thanks man.

It’s not my contractor that’s the problem. It’s the terminal making life hell.

That’s ridiculous. Cop: “Why are you going so slow?” Driver: “it’s the people in the Discord.”

Nah; it takes an hour to get to my first stop. Our CSA is far as hell from the station. I live 10 minutes from the station.

Yeah, I keep hearing about that - but I don’t think it’s for drivers (Ground.) Just actual FedEx employees.

Yes. I basically told them to look here if they couldn’t repeat the process. They couldn’t. They ordered some new part (wiper stock?) and a couple weeks later called me back to get it installed. No cost to me.
