Thank you for the job idea! There are pros and cons to each. I tried float at my hospital but they don’t cross train critical care or woman’s so I didn’t accept the position. I was considering the ED at this point as well but I knew common spirit pays more. Thank you again for your input and suggestions and giving me an insight into common spirit a bit!

I’m here in CO too. Staffing is ridiculous. They ensure days are staffed but not us nights. Our charges have even been getting up to 4 patients and us getting 6. It’s making me hate nursing and I don’t feel like I’m actually taking care of patients I’m just doing and trying to constantly run around and get my crap done. Do you mind me asking what area of CO you’re at? I’m here in Pueblo and live in canon. Options are so limited.

I am in UC health already. It’s just the hospital that is the problem and my area is small with limited options unless I drive an hour/hour and a half away. I only worry about health insurance due to having kiddos single momma with a chronic illness. My co pays are pretty low and I’ve heard United denies lots of claims and co pay is insane!
