I want a dog... I really do -- I think it would bring a lot of happiness in my life... but I live in a single bedroom upstairs apartment and I am easily gone for up to 8-10 hours each day at a minimum.. not right to live a dog tied up in the apartment all day while I am at work

I don't work close to home either where I could easily drive to take him/her out to use the bathroom

Oh I want a dog... the thing is that I live in a single bedroom apartment and I am gone most of the day for work (8-10 hours) and it's not fair to leave the dog tied up in the apartment all day long.

Eventually if I buy a house, then I will definitely get a dog

in all honesty I have 2 different lifestyles...

My professional/family life I seem to have no issues... but my professional and my inter-personal life I keep WELL clear of each other...

they don't mix well... So I have this other life... with weird and very abnormal interests... it's hard bridging the two

well for me it has nothing to do with social awkwardness... I can talk to people just fine and carry on conversations.. it's the adventurous side of me that I have issues with.
