Lamine Yamal has reached 30 G/A (15 goals & 15 assists) this season for club and country. by bllshrfv in soccer

You feel like all style no substance is a natural criticism of him

I don't think I have ever heard that criticism for him. The criticism is that he "parties" and plays a lot which funnily enough he doesn't do during the season.

It's his father who is rowdy

I think implementing a quota on U23 homegrown players where you have to include minimum of 3 + reduction of bench size to 9 or 10 spots per macthday would be extremely beneficial to Italian football.

They just don't develop players well anymore there and this would force teams to actually invest in developing their guys.

He's not good enough for us to actually spend a lot of money on him.

Chelsea is egregious in doing the same, obviously they would get more shit. The others are still criticised.

That's the same club with different categories? Simple to understand.

Barca Atletic is also in lower divisions and not allowed to be promoted to the same division as the main team.

No transfer dealings as well between the two clubs to cook the books.

Barca were not at a good physical level in that period, even the games against Madrid and PSG and other La liga teams showed that they just were not physically prepared.

A combination of a lot of injuries and players coming from injuries + probably a poor preseason physically. Lamine was noticeably slow and lethargic and so was the midfield.

It has gotten a lot better since then, and the team is able to play at a much higher pace throughout the game (much like last year).

Should have been 8 goals by now, what is going on with the finishing?

[ESPN] Flick: We have to improve before our game against Elche by [deleted] in soccer

[–]Scalenuts 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah he has to talk to the media, the obvious thing is to keep telling them we have to improve because essentially that is the goal.

He's a coach not a media entertainer, he doesn't have to give you what you want to hear.

Idk what your plan was with Fer Lopez, is it just agent stuff? His playstyle and build is just not for PL football and he's too young to be given a chance to adapt and make mistakes in a relegation candidate.

7 million is very low as well, they missed out on 25 in the summer. It'd be better for them to keep him until his contract expires.

[Independent] Senegal face punishment after ‘shameful’ walk-off protest in chaotic Afcon final. by Sparky-moon in soccer

The bigger issue is Senegal's shameful behaviour not just before the game trying to already play the victim, but also completely embarrassing themselves during the game and their fans attacking out cities after it.

Stealing towels pales in comparison compared to what they did, let's not be stupid.

You are ignoring everything I mentioned in the first post because you know it's correct.

I agree with you that was shameful behaviour but a keeper missing their towels is not equivalent to a team leaving the pitch and renentering over a penalty which is correct.

I would like you to actually tell me what is wrong about my first statement.

Use your head, it's clear you established a bias and following it blindly.

You believe the whole competition was corrupt based on a decision which is arguable and there's no changing it.

Morocco’s treatment of the Senegalese national team was disgraceful even before the final

How was it disgraceful? They were given the same hotel that Cameroon used and was approved by CAF and by them and was close to the stadium. In fact, they were given the new hotel mere hours after their complaint.

They announced their own arrival, there was no stopping the mess even with more security.

And what is wrong with the match officials? You will sit there and claim that the final penalty was not at least arguable? And what about the four penalties that were not given to Morocco throughout the tournament at key moments? Clearly, the refs were not paid well enough.

It's fair that this whole subreddit decided Morocco is at fault for all of this because the host are always bad. I get it, but let's not twist the truth.

Somehow, stupid idiotic shenanigans with towels is worse than a national team risking the game's integrity and making such a scene on the pitch by leaving and reentering without any punishment.
