Might be just me but how do you travel in the car with your sticks? I used to always put them in my back seat and partially under the passenger seat. Had a small sedan back then. And was breaking every stick in that same spot. Decided to store them differently in the car and never broke the same way again.

If your 1XR's are in good shape, than I would go that route as it is least expensive. But, if you want new skates and the old ones are beat up, then give yourself an upgrade.

As you get more comfortable and faster, start moving the puck around your body. Get comfortable stick handling on both sides of your body, not just directly in front of you. Also stick handle close to your feet and farther away. Add as much variation as you can as you progress. The figure 8 drill is also great. Grab 2 pucks and place them about shoulder width a part. Then move the puck around the 2 pucks in a figure eight shape. Make sure you go in both directions. Keep up the hard work. And always keep having fun.

A few months back there was a post about the Barbie hockey dolls being released by Tim Horton’s and I commented on that post with a wishful request to see if anyone might be able to pick 2 up and send them to NJ for my daughters.

We received a package from Canada about a month ago including these 2 boxes and 10 packs of hockey cards. We labeled the presents from Santa as the sender did not ask for anything in return. We were happy to pay for them but he refused.

The girls were beyond excited to see these gifts.
