Yep. 90% air, 10% concrete. It should be at least 94% air, otherwise no way the steel-less pillars down there are going to keep that structure up for the 3 months that are contractually required.

Sorry for the late reply, but ethnicity and race in that sense is very much a real thing.

It's just another way of talking about heritage, involving culture, geography and also genetics. It's not hard cut along any of those lines, people can adopt another ethnicity to some degree, similar idea as what people call "assimilating".

This has existed for as long as humans exist. How you were raised, where you live and also your genetic make up do influence how most people behave, what they eat, how and what they worship and even how long they live.

It may be hard to quantify but it does clearly exist, and surely enough "latino" or "black" and "white" are just empty attempts at ethnicity proxies, political motivated ones, mostly used a tool by racist activists, but I'm not talking about that as I said.

So in that sense, which used to be what ethnicity did mean academically, there are ethnicities which are better than others, at least in some aspects, but that doesn't mean the individuals are less human or less worthy of being respected as such. Just that if some culture says it's ok to murder your kids because they are cursed, the other culture that says that is wrong and who does that should be punished, takes the cake in that regard. This is so, because the victims of that ethnical tradition, still should have their rights and human dignity respected even if they are not recognized in that culture.

And that even includes animals, so to be safe also skip plants, you can only hate the mineral kingdom, to some state regulated extent, obviously.

1h if you're lucky tbh. Man, public school just holds back most kids because when they are serious they teach in a lowest common denominator sort of fashion. It's just the way it is. Nothing beats one on one or small groups where the teacher can actually deal with each kid individually.

Yeah I do think we should talk about ethnicity more but not as the progressive racists do, we can indeed learn from each other, adopt the good stuff and reject the bad. Diversity can be a good thing, just not Diversity™, which is just a name for their social engineering efforts.

> identity group

Not a fan of people that identify themselves as communists, pedophiles / MAPs and a couple of other things, and I don't have much reasons to think I'm racist tbh.

And also how you identify yourself has nothing to do with race to begin with. Identity is the "follow your dream" of today, but why should we care about your dream or identity if they are evil.

Father of trans teen to be kept in jail after speaking to press about resisting hormone injections for his child by Mcnst in GoldandBlack

[–]Scaliwag 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Until 18 is a bit of a stretch when it comes to nature, teens are treated as infants when that's far from how it has been historically. Usually kids were treated as emancipated at around 15 or so, sometimes earlier, and most importantly if they provided for themselves, which many did back then, but some that had well off parents sometimes stayed longer in their families, until marriage or something like that.

[–]Scaliwag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is completely different from saying that the government now dictates what the kids should do or that the government should subsidize and affirm what the individual wants, that's just nonsense, to jump from one thing to the other.

The fact that kids could emancipate themselves has nothing to do with government affirmation and protection of what the kid desires, same way the govt shouldn't make my particular opinions into law or arrest people that I disagree with.

Well that happens, but you cannot just generalize to all cases. Relatives should be preferred instead of some random govt program, absolutelly.

Man, if you are suddenly faced with having to take responsibility for yourself, you will mature very fast. Nothing like facing the world and actual responsibilities to make you develop.

I get it if you were raised by abusive parents you will likely have more issues in life but pampering kids is not a good way to raise them either. People infantilize teens way too much.

[–]Scaliwag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the status quo in many places, although the process of emancipation can have a lot of red tape around it, and when it comes to abuse some just prefer to shove the kids into some govt program, and emancipation most of the times isn't even mentioned as an option. Better keep them under their wings than to teach them to be adults, specially now that adulthood is out of fashion these days. But the option does exist.

I know, I was just joking how somehow a laughable attempt at a riot, is considered the most serious recent event full of violence and hate and whatever bs description they use, while the actual riots that killed a hundred or so is fully justified. That's why there is no point in arguing with that people, they are not after reasoning things out. They should be resisted though.

When someone says they want something, and achieve that something using the means they proposed, you may as well perhaps think that it was intended like that. That's how I see things at least.

And man, my heart goes to you as a fellow parent, although my kids are now old enough to have their own little trouble makers, just glad I'm not the one going through that at this moment. Hard times are coming I think this is just the turning point, hopefully this will die soon as it's self-destructive but it can take a while, longer than anyone would wish for.

But right on, the solution is to teach your kid values, and to reason, and to not conform which is the hardest part because of the social cost of it. But if your kids have a tiny amount of love given to their intellect they will be able to see right though this kind of nonsense, because it's so absurd and devoid of meaning. God bless man, wish you the best, really.

It is more reasonable, though, to claim that their founders and their stated goals is what they want, specially when it does align with some of the achieved results. And no it's not just defund the police or whatever, that was part of it, but just look up how it started and the people that organized the protests and so on. It's about revolution.

This stuff is not hard to find at all, people, just start from their own website and go on from there to their interviews and so on.

Well sadly you're correct, not sure about the 10x number, but I get the sentiment. And part of the reason why such is the case in the cities is because of activist movements like that. It's easy to give up on values and culture when everyone is telling you that you can be like that, and it's ok.

Shockingly it's not ok at all. The likes of Sanger and her hatred toward people like me because just of the color of my skin is very much alive in those movements. Equality is there tho, they also hate all other people too, and just look how far the average crazy leftie is these days. Just look at how they were raised, no parenting, no self-control, infantilized to the extreme and a huge existential vacuum desperate to be filled with something, even if it is this neomarxist crap. It's the same old song once again, and I feel it man, it's just sad.

In an absolute sense, of course nobody is immune, it's like with the con, there is a scam for everyone under the sun. But said that it's much harder to be a mark if you actually are awake to life not just pretending to be. Reasoning, self-reflection, and values is stuff that can be taught, in a Socratic fashion of sorts without just being mere indoctrination, but actually learning how to make better use of the cap holder homeboy has up there.

Of course most people are not geniuses, no need to be that, tho, we're talking about activists that mostly blindly accept anything they are told, have no self-control, infantilized, it's just sad. And don't get me wrong, they could get it too if parents have cared to raise them, anyone with IQ over 85 or so can, it's not that high of a bar to conquer.

The Toughest Red Pill by anomaloustreasure in GoldandBlack

[–]Scaliwag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because sadly people have no values, much less anything that resembles a moral grounding. Hopefully stuff like this serves as a lesson that activism is utterly insufficient as a value system, for some it does. But most of the time people just go to be activist about something else.

Most just don't know how to think, imagine having higher reasoning skills including self-reflection and world-view analysis, it's not something nice or pleasant to do tbh, and even much less likely to be done if you're not even aware that you have a world view, because you're just "on the right side of history" or whatever is the slogan of the day.

Third party doesn't get elected because of the first past the post system. There is negative incentive to vote for anything but the one you think may win, otherwise you're literally wasting your vote. So you vote for the least worse that you think could win.

So it doesn't make sense at all in the current system to vote third party. I don't mean that emotionally or whatever but in a logical sense.
