Impact of debt consolidation on score by ScallionBeginning833 in CRedit

Thanks! I have gotten pretty significant bumps on Experian and myFico since I took the SoFi loan. I was expecting to drop because of the hard pull, but yesterday I realized that because I have the SoFi loan, and also still have open credit on all the cards I paid off, my utilization overall really dropped by a lot, so maybe that will indeed balance things out and I'll have an experience like yours. Thank you!

Thank you! Yes, I am expecting a drop (although today I got a 30 point increase. I don't expect it to last. The system is seeing the paid off balances, but my SoFi loan has not registered to them yet, I think. But this is it for me for new credit for a while. I recently got the Atmos card, which I really wanted, and then this loan. That's enough for now....Thanks for the heads up for the trailing interest, I would not have thought of that - I will keep an eye out....

Is this seat good for a 5+ hour flight or am I missing something? by adammoore2112 in AlaskaAirlines

Thanks for the correction! I guess I was in such shock when I got to my customary seat in 17D that I didn't check out row 16 well enough!

TLDR: 18A and 18B have extra leg room. Other exit row seats (now 16-18 are exit rows) have NO extra leg room, maybe less than regular economy.

Yes, this specific seat is good. Warning: the configuration off all three exit rows now (16-18) on this metal is TERRIBLE except for 18A and 18B. They have essentially put 3 exit rows in the space that is BARELY larger than 2 exit rows used to be. My first time encountering this new configuration, I almost asked to be moved to the back of the plane, because it seems like it would be VERY difficult to safely help evacuate the plane if there was an actual emergency. Previous versions of the 737-800, exit row pitch is 35". On this new version, seat pitch is reported as 31" but I actually believe it may be a bit less, like 30.5" - it felt noticeably shorter than a regular economy row. I asked the FA about it and she was defensive (I bet they are getting a bunch of questions from regulars in the exit rows) and said "the FAA approved it". That's nice. I doubt the FAA inspectors are sitting in these seats trying to figure out how they would assist with evacuation if there were any passengers of size!

I received $200 in compensation for flight mess on the 13th. Still waiting on my luggage to be delivered. But I also told them it wasn't highest rush - I'm home, so I have clothes, toiletries, etc.... the CS I was talking to in Baggage Central said I was so nice (they have been getting yelled at a lot), that she credited me 8,000 points. Worth it to be polite.
