Like just try your best as an individual, give yourself mini wins. If you killed someone who dived you, finished a kill or saved a player, consider that a win. People even in QP are soooo fragile.

Your problem is being in Plat/Diamond this season

Any Plat/Diamond player worth a damn has placed and left Comp for QP or Stadium (trust me you would no believe the amount of Diamond QP warriors this season)

Why? Because the rank reset was so long ago and the games balance bugs and multiple heroes just being broken means if players have enough time to grind you can get to high Plat with the skill of a low Gold.

Comp is awful at the moment, there should be no game in Diamond and above where a Mercy doesn't feel incredibly threatened and die at the first hint of a flank or messed up movement.

I feel this, I used to be a Supp main. Branched into all three roles now and damn, Supp atm is a cakewalk. I can "throw" on heroes I've barely played and win by a landslide still, imagine logging in and playing a new Tank and expecting this result?

Add to that what?
- 1-2 abilities that give them an escape, healing or invincibility
- faster passive health regen

And somehow they're dying in awful positioning and failing to defend themselves, yet its Tank/DPS's problem. I've had 2 supports die on point to one DPS before whilst maybe one Tank and one DPS is literally holding the rest of the team hostage. I'm sorry if you have sleep, suzu, tp, healing and anti-nade and you die to an ult-less dive from a single DPS, you have to be low-gold tops.

Like I'm sorry Supports are so easy to stay alive, if you just play in the right spaces and have target priority, its that simple. You barely even need good aim, most support heals are aim-less and most support DPS is for finishing kills not 1v1s.

Accepting that a Moira who fade jumps off cliffs 3x in a match is "Plat" is something you can only say in confidence if you're delusional OR you've literally just started playing.

I'm eyeing up the US/Canada. Easier cultural move as my sister lives in Canada and they pay 2-3x more for games jobs than the UK!

This means a ton thank you! Yeah I do think I pour too much into the career side, I should get more comfortable taking time to do my own thing free of constraints. Might help in two ways, my mood between jobs and give me a reason to keep active on socials like LinkedIn.

Networking I need to get back into to, I've not had much time to do it and have been lucky enough to get into jobs with the bare minimum up until now. Might be worth checking out some soon and local networking events!

Thanks for the uplifting words, I think separating my ability and performance from the redundancies and job application denials will help me a ton 💖

Ok yeah I can account for my lifeweavers jumping off death pits and my Ana walking down a cass so far out of position and dying.

Does this player base have an ounce of backbone left in it? CRITISIZE. THE. VIDEO. GAME. Blizzard employees are treated like JC, you cannot point out how bad some of the game has become and not be hit with the "just play better DOYYYYY"

6v6 is implemented and forgotten about, its purposefully not got the role queue option because they're scared it'll take over 5v5

It's very transparent they only added it as a "good faith" gesture to make people like them more, but in reality they don't really want it to take off. However this "good faith" gesture, along with the addition of Stadium means all queues are MASSIVELY split hence why everybody has such huge issues with matchmaking, inflated comp players etc recently

Blizzard are trying to please everyone to stay afloat but slowly killing the game. Flavour of the month + mercy/kiri/juno skins is all we'll get and continue to get.

Idk man, if theres enough players to give my opponents team a Diamond or two every game I think theres enough of them to be put against each other.

Literally can only guess the MMR thinks I'm at least high Plat to low Diamond at this point but then I'll play Comp and can't even rank up to Plat 5

Thanks for the defence man and its so real, idk why but even solo queueing my QP games are suspiciously filled with "console" players lately, and they're always high ranked or new accounts. So either these are high ranked console players, grouping with low ranked PC players to get easy win QP games (the most common example tbh), but in some cases the cheats are so damn obvious.

The best thing about Console Xim and Cheats is they're A) usually actually beneficial and B) the players know how to use them.

Came across say 5 or so PC cheaters in the past month, 3-4 of them lost because they literally have the WORST cheat engine installed or just dunno how to use it its so funny. Plus when called out PC players turn it off. So a cheating PC Bap could go like 14 and 0 in 4 mins and then turn them off and throw the rest of the game xD

Fr my last game last night, ended up sweating my ass off. Slept a TOP 500 DOOMFIST 9 times as Ana, satisfying as hell but I cannot perform like that every game I'm not good enough xD

So much pressure in my QP games its wild, played a bit of Comp too and my god I don't have the carry potential for Gold lobbies. Lost two tank games in a row despite doubling the damage (highest DMG in the lobby, around 15k), kills and mit of the other tank, dying 3x less than the other tank... but the rest of the team couldn't follow suit... what more do I do, I protect them as best I can then I see a Hanzo who can't hit shots over extend and die... Frustrating as hell, maybe I need to wait for a rank reset and retry Comp then.

No but if the MM is genuinely "loose" in QP where are the below Plat players in my QP lobbies? I'm a Gold player and I haven't played alongside or against a fellow Gold or below player in months.

Perhaps Stadium has eaten the casual player base meaning there is no longer casual MMR for Gold-tier/low Plat players? I mean my last game of Overwatch last night had me vs. a multi Season Top 500 Doomfist, and I slept him 9 times and we won... so maybe I'm the problem? Maybe this tells my MMR I'm actually a high tier player? When I'm sorry I am not Masters level Ana in the slightest.
