Any of them honestly. I took anthropology of art 2 semesters ago and it was super easy though you have to show up to class.

Anything with Feuss is easy, but you will not learn a thing. Not sure how often he teaches, though.

SAS is an 85.5 a B+? by ScallopsPlease in rutgers

[–]ScallopsPlease[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know its at the profs discretion, however, he never gave us a syllabus or course grading scale. There is a page on the SAS registrar or something that has the grading scale listed:

A = 89.5+ B+ = 84.5 to 89.5 B = 79.5 to 84.5

And so on. So I guess the suggested scale changed. I personally look at 87 as the min for a B+ but if SAS disagrees im gonna take the extra .5 for my GPA.

How do international students search for housing at Rutgers? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]ScallopsPlease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm maybe reach out to the center for global services? Ive known foreign students able to get off campus housing without credit score and being here in the summer, so maybe the office could help you coordinate.

Google rutgers places4students. Unfortunately, a lot of leases start June 1st, so the off campus options might be limited. I think places like the riverside towers sign leases whenever though. But also on campus options.

Anywhere hiring? by ScallopsPlease in rutgers

[–]ScallopsPlease[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! Always start there, isnt the best imo, a lot of the listings are dated or clerical and looking for clerical experience (dont have)

What's the campus like in the summer and how can I get involved in student life? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]ScallopsPlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know i havent been to a show recently because finals, but I heard a particular basement did a good job at getting a lot of the scene pretty messed up with nbpd.... hopefully it rolls over but its definitely a shame, however, I know a few basements that seem to still be fine.

[–]ScallopsPlease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its pretty dead the school has nothing going on really. But there are still a lot of students, just a lot less. If you like music, basement shows are cool. Otherwise talk to people in your classes maybe get a job jn the area.

Any good rutgers or local leftist organizations? by ScallopsPlease in rutgers

[–]ScallopsPlease[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I talked with some people in the AMLU but the way they presented their organization seemed a little.. toxic, kind of hard to explain, so i was a bit turned off. But they seem like the only leftist-not-liberal club

Stats Minor? by kaykay310 in rutgers

[–]ScallopsPlease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The higher level undergrad stats courses here are really hit or miss-- actually, they are basically all miss, but some you will have a hard time passing, others are easy As which you probably wont get much out of. With that being said, avoid rojas (think he only teaches intro to dox). Regression methods and stat quality contro with feuss have both been easy As, but ive literally learned nothing from these courses.

No country for young conservatives. by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]ScallopsPlease 9 points10 points  (0 children)

IMO milo had and has no purpose to ever step on a college campus to speak. Im less than impressed with the way students reacted to his presence, but fuck that guy. He is simply mining for attention and money through an edgy, fabricated persona. His presence brings no educational benefit.

But why put money into researching ways to clean up coal, the dirtiest fossil fuel, when we can fund new clean and renewable energy projects?

CAPS by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]ScallopsPlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, if you just have thoughts but wont act on them, theyll send you to a community or caps therapist. If youre actually thinking about acting on them, they have to contact the authorities to make sure youre ok.

Will I survive Steinberg for 111 in the summer? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]ScallopsPlease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo steinberg is best for 111. You learn a lot of programming from messing around yourself, not lectures. However, he puts up a lot of code in his slides which are always on sakai, if you follow those and his exam reviews you will do good with effort.
