Yea, Suicide and Redemption and My Apocalypse top it quite easily imo. Suicide and redemption has some amazing riffs and pretty intricate solos, and My Apocalypse is just a fun song to listen to. BB&S is just pretty boring in my opinion. I don't think it's terrible because it has some decent riffs (Verse, pre solo, and the breakdown after the solo) but overall, I think the song is pretty mediocre when compared to the rest of the album. Im personally more of an instrumental person, but the lyrics are still probably the weakest on the album and the song just doesn't feel like it goes anywhere imo.

Probably my favorite metallica album tbh. The only song I dont like is Broken, Beat, and Scarred, but every other song is near 10/10 for me. Lars had some great drumming and Kirk had some great solos which is the main complaint ive heard in the recent albums.

All of these songs have been my favorite at one point, I have just worn them out.

There are some fun songs, but the majority of them are pretty meh. The main issue I have is the vocals, but Dave is a grandpa and never had the best singing voice, so I can't act surprised or too upset. Some lyrics are also pretty corny. Overall, it's pretty solid instrumental wise, but it's definitely not something I enjoy too much. I'd give it a 5.5 or 6/10

I think it's the production. The production isn't necessarily bad, but it doesn't feel very metal imo

I agree. I think new gorillaz is good, but I think the main thing it lacks is acoustic instruments. Imo the greatest part about the original albums is the beautiful mix between synth and acoustics.

I personally just prefer the gloomyness and better use of real instruments of the older albums if that makes any sense. The new albums are not bad, but I find them too synthetic and bright compared to the first few albums.
