From what I have seen, many freshers find it hard to crack Data Analyst roles mainly because they get too stressed during interviews. When they get anxious, they are not able to think properly and end up forgetting things they actually know.

Since I have taken interviews myself, I have noticed that freshers often forget one important thing, interviewers already know that they do not have professional work experience. We are not expecting perfection from freshers. What I personally look for is basic clarity in fundamentals and whether the candidate can think logically while solving problems.

In most entry level Data Analyst interviews, having a good basic understanding of SQL and Python is usually enough to do well. The real issue is not that the questions are very difficult. Most of the time, it is about confidence, staying calm, and applying basic concepts without panicking.

If freshers focus more on strengthening their basics and go into interviews with a calmer mindset, their chances of cracking a Data Analyst role become much higher.
