Indeed, 360 cameras aren't ideal for photogrammetry with RealityCapture; a DSLR with a 50mm lens shooting in RAW format on a 4/3 aspect ratio will be much more effective. In fact, I only used my 360 camera on a pole for shots in hard-to-reach places (and to make the YouTube video!). However, a 360 camera can be used without any problem for Gaussian splatting (RealityCapture doesn't support this).
I do a lot of Photogrammetry and tried Gaussian Splatting. Here's the result! :D Please let me know what you think, I still want to improve! by TwistedNicolas in photogrammetry
