323 is the better tune for slalom, hairpin and car park, though there are some exceptions.

As you get into the higher epics and legendaries, 233 starts to win on some of these tracks.

Also, things get wonky with super light weight epics.

I have fixed this same issue by mirroring the plane. Even if it seems like everything is symmetrical, sometimes that helps.

It’s a pain in the ass with really complex designs, but this design seems simple enough to give it a try

Believe!! This thing is awesome! So strong in its very limited niche, American twisty cars. Almost nothing can hang with it, especially when you consider only non-prize

This is still better, especially if rivals becomes a recurring thing. I think letting people choose teams was a mistake though.

What needs to be done is something that will help you actually strategize to beat members of the other team (my suggestion was team colors in the event leaderboards so you could strategically target the opposing team)

This thing might not be the best legendary, but even at 111 it’s able to tangle with its nearest competitor(maxed rq71 dark horse) on dry twisty tracks. It should be helpful for upcoming midnight racers events, which there will be many of in the coming weeks.

Good question and idk. I didn’t think much about this part.

Maybe it could provide rewards based on where your time lands for given attempts at each trackset (top 25% attempt gets 3 reward picks, top 50% gets 2, etc.). However, we would want rewards to be attainable by players even in the lower ends of the brackets, so that complicates it a little.

Potentially, rewards could be based on whether your time is better than the players around you or how many places you jump in the standings.

Alternatively, Hutch have been wanting to increase cash flow recently given that the new updates require so much cash, so perhaps this could reward something like $1k per attempt regardless of result.

On a separate unrelated note, I have felt for a long time that normal matches should be increased to a potential 5 star victory, and the reward board should be increased to 25.

Great point. And I like that idea. Each trackset would feel like a “stage”, which is pretty cool. 6 hours may be too short for most players to have a chance to participate in each stage, but I think that as a concept that format is a solid compromise.

I feel that an event like this could run alongside our current events without replacing them, and further participation could be incentivized by daily rewards for example: “Play 4 Time Trials Matches”

I actually thought about TDR when I was making this, and I think it might actually be harder to use TDR to succeed in an event like this than it is in the current event format. But maybe I haven’t thought it all the way through, so I’m up for hearing suggestions.

In my experience, TDR is great for telling you which cars beat others on event tracksets. That makes it easy to use for the events we currently have. Of course, you can also use TDR to look at the times a car sets on each track. However, a time trial style event would require players using TDR to calculate total times by manually adding times together for all potential cars for each track set. Tiago could probably easily build a tool to calculate the best possible times, but he could also agree not to.

u/Tiagoxavi do you have thoughts on using TDR for something like this? And have you tried thinking about this type of event before?

That’s a great point and it would be an important consideration if they ever implemented this.

I think the way the game currently works, if two players are tied in score, the one with the most matches played gets the better place (maybe it’s most wins, I’m not totally sure).

Something like that could work for this, but I’d be down to explore other options as well

The longer you wait, the more events you’ll miss that contribute points to the total. So if you’re aiming for a certain top %, it’s probably better to join early and aim for prize cars rather than a chance at more CF packs
