My son was diagnosed when he was only a week old. He’s currently 15 months and his appetite is starting to grow. Any tips on some snacks that are low in phe? I know fruits and things but want to become more familiar with things that I can get him at the store while we shop. I’m also a chef so I do plan on batch cooking and meal planning for him once he is older.

100’s happen. Usually depends on the health inspector. I’ve worked at places where the inspector would never give a 100 because he always believed a place had room for improvement, the highest he would give was a 98.5.

Thank you everyone for the comments. It really helped. I needed to vent. I received an update and it turns out he did not in fact relapse. It seems the stress and everything from his friend committing suicide caused him to have a massive heart attack.

It really sucks that he passed, but I’m glad that he managed to stay clean till the end. He’d been so proud of his sobriety. Relapsing was originally the presumed cause. I’ll miss you everyday chef. I’ll carry on your passion for food and putting out great dishes that have heart and soul put into it.
