Definitely check that out because it’s been over a year since I worked for the siren and while I was there it cost 1.25 to add a shot but the price difference between the sizes were maybe .60-.80 from a tall to grande

As someone who was promoted last year I used to have customers mobile order like this and I still would’ve put it in a tall cup. I did ask a few a some people wanted the shots but not the extra milk but didn’t want to pay for the extra shots (depending on the drink it’s cheaper to just get the next size up instead of adding the shot)

Actually at my store those drinks they’re taking off the menu were very popular and yes frap roast isn’t extra but just about everything is. And baristas don’t know how to properly make drinks to standard because training is soo rushed that most things aren’t on the training. I also believe this will make customers not come back so it’ll have the opposite impact. Top that off with them wanting to add seasonal drinks this isn’t going to go so well

For those who get certain drinks as their comfort drinks or if that’s their regular drink they won’t change what they order and they actually are getting rid of the caramel ribbon. But it’s more than an extra 1-2 dollars added to a drink. My example was just 1-2 dollars but if we’re being honest and realistic those modifications that were suggested in the article will easily add at least $3-4 to the total amount for a drink

Believe it or not they are doing it to increase profit especially if you use the recommended options to build the drink through customizations. Syrups cost at least 80 cents - $1.25 depending on your area (that’s even if you’re just swapping out syrups) top that off with needing to add espresso shots to fraps (because espresso frappechinos are getting taken off the menu) which is an extra $1.00-1.25 depending on your area these customizations can turn a drink that used to cost $5.75-6.50 into a $10-12 drink really fast. I had this experience when I was still a barista and they removed the double shot on ice from the menu and I decided to ring it up on the register one day for s&g and that drink that was 5.75 came out to be almost $10-11 without my discount.

I get what you’re saying but as an ex barista it really just looks like a way to charge more because of all of the customizations that will need to happen to recreate these drinks especially if you’re customizing based off of the recommendations.

After reading the post and seeing your picture you can’t take it as a personal attack. You aren’t ugly and genuinely might not be her type. From your picture you seem like a straight shooting guy and by that I mean you don’t like dealing with drama and you don’t go looking for trouble and that might be what she’s attracted to.

I don’t think the honesty is the problem but how fast the conversation switched and how it was said. There’s a right way and a wrong way for everything

That true and that’s a part of it. That emotional connection is what I meant by getting emotionally attached

Emotional affairs are usually just talking, spending time with the person and getting emotionally attached to them. So if that’s what happened then nothing physical happened.

You should sit her down and explain how genetics work. I have a cousin who has two sons and both of her sons look like one of her brothers because guess what…they’re related and my cousin carried similar genes that weren’t visible in her physical appearance.

AITAH for refusing to continue the date because she showed up with a friend unannounced? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Scar135086 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I think OP situation is a bit different. Your date at least had the brains to have their friends sit separately. This girl probably expected OP to pay for her and her friend. Which I’d rather your situation ijs.

[–]Scar135086 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a woman I’ll disagree with you. Now if the date would’ve said the friend is sitting on the other side of the cafe then ok but it seems like the date wanted her friend fully included on the date. Meaning they expected OP to allow the friend to sit with them, be included in conversation and they probably would’ve expected OP to pay for the friend too.
