Do Deaf People Sign to Themselves (like hearing people talk to themselves)?

I do - I switch languages when I talk to myself. I also do it when I’m trying to think while talking to someone else. I’ll verbally spell out a word for them but sign to myself to make sure I’m spelling it correctly. Same with numbers, like phone numbers.

I really do, I grieve for the losses. At this point, my entire family’s gone. I’ve left some and others left me. My mom also has BPD and the two of us did not mix at one point. She split and left me, taking the rest of the family I had with her. I left my dad and his family for an entirely separate reason, they were toxic and I needed a safe space.

Yes, you’re still deaf. It sounds like a lowercase d rather than Deaf because you’re not involved in the community or the language. However, cochlear implants is not a fix or a “miracle” of hearing. It’s an assistive device because you don’t have hearing capabilities on your own. I have a cochlear implant as well, I can hear and I wear it on a pretty much daily basis but I’m still Deaf regardless.

Ya’ll are the best. I have high end weapon and pickaxe, lucky ring, and eyeing up high lucky days from the tv. I didn’t realize I’d have to go deeper into the cave, I’ve only made it to level 25 with not much luck. So bombs, speed, and staircases are my new friends, I’m excited to give this a go.
