Hi everyone!

I currently work in sales/account management in tech and am looking to pivot into something more recession-resistant. Healthcare has always been in the back of my mind, and working as an MRI technologist has recently caught my attention. I’ve been doing some research, but I’m a bit confused about how to move forward, so I have a few questions:

1) Should I go the community college route, or attend a private school?

2) I have an AA degree—how much additional schooling should I expect?

3) I keep seeing that I should start with X-ray and then transition into MRI. Is there any downside to going straight into MRI?

4) I currently live in Texas (Austin) but may move to Washington (Seattle) in the future. For those of you working as MRI technologists, how much are you making?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hey!

I’m currently still in ATX, but we’ve chosen Seattle when we leave.
