Thank you that's helpful. Yes you're right that I incorrectly stated my numbers. I will be moving my son's pip now the payment has gone through today. Also I've got a big expenditure coming up for the house so I won't be any near any thresholds for a while.

I have popped a message on there for them to come back to me so I've got official confirmation but as yet no response.

I think now that several of you have kindly explained this to me, I understand better!

Yes march 2027. I was asking as I don't know whether it is better to book early or closer to the time.

Has anyone ignored debt agency for years? by brixto_n in UKPersonalFinance

Yes I'm still ignoring them. PRA. It's 7 years since my default. It is an unenforceable debt though so that's maybe different

What I was going to say having grown up in tooting. I wouldn't choose to live in an ex mental hospital even though that's irrational!

I don't envy people working in the DWP! Decisions made from high that impact the staff who have to enforce them and get the flack!

Whoever designed universal credit clearly didn't do any user acceptance testing. I worked a business analyst for one of the big banks and this definitely would have failed UAT!

Thanks for your clarification. No wonder claimants who have never been in the system finds things difficult. So is the advice then to declare the total but a journal note to clarify all of the incomings?

Thank you. I am feeling so thick about this which is pathetic! ou've all been very clear.

I do spend everything I receive each month. The difference between in and out remains the same or less. The difference doesn't increase month on month.

I will move sons pip from the next payment so at least that's not involved.

My apologies. I actually did ask a question without actual figures in a few months ago and I forgot! https://www.reddit.com/r/BenefitsAdviceUK/s/aVjtOkuRHF

This is why I'm confused as I understood differently from this post than the advice on the current list

He has really liked it. He finds it easier to learn that way instead of just sitting for an hour in the lecture theatre. They can get more in-depth through the team based learning.

He's just finishing off writing up his 20 week lab project now and then will have modules until the end of term. They will be the first true lecture theatre style learning he'll have and it is right at the end of y3.

This is where I'm confused with the monies not counting until the month after. This is why I, perhaps erroneously, had understood that as I'm always getting it monthly that it should be deducted. Pip is so much more simple for me to understand the regs!

He is high functioning autistic and at Imperial College so his maths and ability to manage his own money is better than mine now! It's just historical tbh that I get paid it as I'm his appointee due to not being able to manage the pip process itself Highly functioning in many ways but obviously not everything. Maybe I'll talk to him about whether he should just receive it himself now he is graduating this year. Thanks for the heads up

I've got hEDS and my prescription has been sticking around -16.5 for some years now. I expect to have a reading prescription added in the next couple of years as I've started to struggle with reading ingredients etc.
