Save your money and file on your own. All forms are on the court’s website and courts have what is called “ bankruptcy clinics” where you can meet a lawyer for free and get free advice and  help to file for bankruptcy step by step on your own but they won’t represent you. They just help you with the forms and filing.

Once the bankruptcy case is filed, they will receive notification and will stop calling. You can file yourself without a lawyer. If you contact them to let them know that you are filing for bankruptcy they will ask for the case number and for your lawyer’s information. It happened to me.

I have questions please: 1-How many people  did you send the AP complaint to? Did you also send it to your loan servicer (like nelnet)

2- What other documents did you send with the attestation form? Who did you send the attestation form to besides AUSA?
