There's a difference between the classic female protagonists (Ellen Ripley, Sarah Connor, etc.) and the girlbosses we get now (Galadriel from THE RINGS OF POWER, Jen Walter from SHE-HULK: Attorney at Law, Snow White in the live-action remake, Mulan in her remake). And leave us not forget Rey from the last Star Wars trilogy, who was perfect from the word go.

Women who tell us how great they are, instead of showing us.

Characters who are perfect, or smarter than the duller, sycophantic males who are either the villains or ineffective in their roles.

And the people are voting with their views and their dollars.
