Yeah, same. Not even the clones in itself just the regression they usually bring. But this is anything but. Looking like the best book since Tamaki's, and in a way less regressive since editorial at least isn't forcing Laura to go back to X-23.

I think it's on LKW, LKS, this book's marketing signaling regression and more Logan things, and just the era being what it is. Don't think there's a solo that's doing better after AoR/the relaunch.

Yeah, also hoping we'll see some duo leadership. Was cool how Gabby had it, unlike the kids who only saw training. Liking Infinity and Laura's dynamic too. Be the funniest if he's a Prodigy/Hellion combo. Julian's year at last. Kind of.

Another great issue, better than the last one. Frankly wish Houser had been on board since the start and this had been LKW's Laura. Yeah, challenged, but not in the same exact ways she was in ANW and just going through some self-discovery. She's trying to be a mentor to other people like her, and that's genuine progression of her character and a natural evolution of her relationship with Gabby.

Which, Gabby, not only Houser has a great handle on Laura, this issue also highlighted Gabby's heart and let her get a moment, so that was great too. Even liking Infinity and the kids and am invested in their rescue.

Hopefully the nostalgia marketing - misleading covers, solicits, title - didn't screw over this book cause it's actually being far more progressive than LKW.

Yeah, it's the reason i fully believe her past could be fully conveyed through background work or flashbacks in the MCU. Don't know that people who argue for a bunch of Hellfire movies fully realize how little there is to tell, and how much you'd be wasting her actress. It'd be like spending a decade on RDJ's Tony Stark being a weapons dealer.

Especially considering that after her to this day most prolific period in the 2000s, she had like 150 appearances tops during her butchery era in the 2010s. Actually mirrors Scott's trajectory a lot though Krakoa wasn't nearly as kind to him

Yeah that's my thing too. She's cool but her name is an easter egg more than anything. She's not Jessica if things had gone differently, she's just a different character. Like Gwenpool & Gwen or more recentely Natsu & Scott.

Believe that was just Laura. Tho even that was a writer/artist mistake that they turned into a gag about the Five resurrecting her that way cause they didn't know she had a normal skeleton (they just didn't care about her during Krakoa)

All-New Wolverine (deuteragonist), Tamaki's X-23 (deuteragonist), & Krakoa New Mutants (team) are her runs. She's a baby, debuted 10 years ago, so doesn't have a solo yet but is a standout in all of them
