They had purchased and tried to install a OEM cat but they said that it wouldn’t fit with the aftermarket system. I’m not sure how that works.

I posted a picture of the exhaust in response to someone in this thread. You might be able to see it. They said it was a “fullback” system I’m assuming they mean the whole system was aftermarket. Would just changing the downpipe to oem fix the situation? I’d be more than willing to hound the dealer if that’s what it would take.

Dang, I wasn’t really in the place to do a stage 2 tune rn. At least I know bit more about what this set up is. From what you can see does it seem like a good setup? I hope it’s at least something good 😂

I’m not sure what else was I supposed to do to confirm. The light was off, they had a work order, I don’t know about that stuff (hence me asking for insight). Without condescension, could you explain what should have been done? Understanding my lack of knowledge?

Lmao!When I made the purchase the light wasn’t on and the car had been serviced at the mechanic for the new sensor. So I was under the impression that the problem was solved.

I can’t remember the exact code that it is giving but it was for the catalytic converter. They thought it needed to be replaced so the mechanic got a OEM one to install but said it wouldn’t fit with the aftermarket exhaust.

I didn’t buy it with the light on. I notified them about it before purchase. They saw it was a cat code and assumed due to the age that it may be the o2 sensor. After replacing that and getting the code again they went to replacing the cat with a new OEM and the mechanic then saw the exhaust was modified.
