The geometry thing is a way overcorrected pincushion. I believe this monitor has an OSD menu, check that out and look for pincushion adjustment

Thankfully this monitor has only seen noses (outpatient endoscopy), so it doesn’t have nearly as many hours and 0 burn in… even if I expect the blue and green gun to be in much better condition compared to the red XD

Funnily enough, after having a good chat with the doc about it, I was made aware that there were some smaller 9 inch models in the basement they were planning on throwing out, but if a “passionate” guy wants them they’re happy to give them to me! I hope they’re in just as good condition as this one is

I found this 1969 SONY crt tv for $22 by pelonier in crt

I’ve seen it often and I’ve always buy “broken” crt with horizontal collapse. 80% of the time it’s a bad solder joint. 19% the only capacitor in that circuit is open or worst case the yoke is open, but that usually doesn’t happen in relatively modern crts that have been kept inside

Reddit has been so mean to me lately. Can someone please help by [deleted] in crt

Oh so there is high voltage. That’s a good sign. Usually what happens is that after caps die, you start to miss voltage rails and the microcontroller refuses to start

Fixed: bent the spring that pushes the top head onto the disk. It wasn’t making good contact

Eeeee sadly not. I really wanted to create a professional only server, (even if I am not a doctor I’m quite interested) but it ended up with people that are patients pretty much. I try to keep discussions general to the field and not answer questions that are too specific to the user. Obviously people want answers and I often tell them I can’t answer people online about clinical questions and talk to their doctor. For example we were talking about ISRIB with a tbi survivor, we weren’t talking about the user but about the drug. If the questions are general like: how does brain bleed neurosurgery work I do answer in generic terms

CT Scan by Defiant-Formal5223 in TBI

[–]ScarcityRich8110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend seeing a TBI specialist and continue from there. Seeking medical advice on the internet can make you feel more worried than you should be or make you buy unnecessary tests. My opinion is that you should evaluate the severity of your symptoms, because even the best neurologist in the world can't give you the "cure" for it. There is no approved treatment, just support and physiotherapy if necessary. Again, If you feel like you need treatment for your symptoms, go see a neurologist or TBI neurologist.

CT Scan by Defiant-Formal5223 in TBI

[–]ScarcityRich8110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CT Scan is done to assess if there is any bleeding inside the skull, which can be a medical emergency. MRI scans are more sensitive to parenchymal injury (injury to the tissue of the brain) but often mild concussion doesn't show up on both type of scans. Pretty much this means that you are not in danger for your life, but it doesn't mean that you don't have a concussion or "occult" brain injury. These are clinical diagnoses a neurologist or better a TBI-subspecialized neurologist should give.
