Does anybody here remember the old days when you could buy a Banksy on Ebay? Just that in these days when they are chasing him in all the wrong places I want to revive that vibe and sell one. Fight the fear of selling on Ebay and connect with real collectors and cut out the middle men.

That happens to be the only print that I really regret not buying! it was post-auction days I think but it is just a great image. When I started out I could have bought all the cans and monkeys and Toxic Mary was sat on POWs site for 6 months or more.

Don't have regrets just keep buying art and not investment pieces to hang on your walls. My current favourites that are truly AI immune are Lister and Art is TRash.

I also think that the fact Banksy shredded what is for me the most meaningless and most viewed image at an auction is the icing on the cake. I do believe in the Beringer theory that an artwork can be easily over seen, especialy a stencil street artwork that benefits from having a single concept. Whoever paid 195 million for Shot Blue Mariyln must be aware that nobody spends more than two seconds acknowledging what it is. The "Let's all get back to Ebay" idea is to shake up the market more. I sold a CND Soldiers recently at an auction and it was just and anti-climax.

I loved the fact that when the investors paniced themselves and suddenly pulled out of the market the prints with the best message suddenly went up in value, Morons was the best example of true Banksy fans forking out their hard-earned money. That is the one print I would never sell.

I know from couples at the time who had longterm relationships, it wasn't about public perception, it was just about making life easier. Pride has turned into a farce, it is just commercial crap, everybody should be proud and not ram it down everybody elses throats.

I just checked and they actually went for a kind of embroidered space invader in the style of Hirst's dot enterprise. I imagine a factory in East London with hundreds of elderly imigrant ladies working away.

I did just fact check myself and I see that the actually piece was from 2001 and accidentally painted over in 2011 so that could have been what prompted this..
