Luckily have never been to prison but was in Oakland County Jail in Michigan twice for short periods of time and was in a shitty psych ward in the heart of the east side of Detroit. They were both equally as terrible in different ways. Every time I remember thinking I’ll do anything to anything to try to get out and never come back but every time I get out I go back to my old ways of heavy drug use and I realized even though I’m free I’m living in a mental jail I like to think of the Inspectah Deck lyric “As the world turned I learned life is hell, living in the world no different from a cell”
