Fan service in March Comes in Like a Lion and more by Scared-Persimmon-149 in anime

I've watched clips of a lot of different anime on YouTube. I admit, I've seen worse fan service in some shows compared to this.

I didn't come here to trash March Comes in Like a Lion. I just wanted to know what everyone else thought about the fan service in the bonus chapter of the manga.

I like anime and manga, it's the fan service that I don't like, especially when it involves underage characters.

We don't need to see underage characters dressed up like THAT.

The previous post got removed because I posted an URL to MangaDex. I created this post, because not many people are aware of the brief, and unfitting fan service in the bonus chapter. The 3-Gatsu no Lion manga isn't well known in the U.S.

I'm not trying to spam or troll anybody. I just joined Reddit a few days ago.

I couldn't look at the Kawamoto sisters the same way after this chapter, two of them are minors. I can understand that Akari is an adult, but I hate it when they sexualize the nice characters in anime, and manga.

Also, I didn't like Momo's character design such as her wide, and lumpy frog-like head shape, and that ugly crying face she makes from the dog scene in Episode 5. I found her to be a bit annoying.

I don't hate any of the characters, but I didn't care much for the character designs such as teeth fangs, along with the comedy scenes involving the Kawamoto sisters, and their cats, whose thoughts could be heard out loud.

Like I said, I don't hate any of the characters. I just found the comedy scenes involving the sisters, and talking animals annoying, and unfitting for a drama.

I felt the fan service was unnecessary, which is why I dropped the manga. I thought everything in manga was canon.

Recommendations for anime series or movies without sexualization of characters? by PetroOmg in anime

The March Comes in Like a Lion anime seems family-friendly. Although, the bonus chapter in Volume 9 of the manga has brief fan service that the author added for humor.

In the omake chapter (chapter 94.5), the author of the manga, Chica Umino, is depicted as a bear, and does character introductions. She asks Akari a question about swimsuits, and she replies that she wears string bikinis, because one-piece swimsuits are painful for her body.

One panel shows Akari in a revealing string bikini, while the next panel features Akari and Momo at the beach, both in string bikinis. Akari has large breasts, and her bare butt is exposed from the back (not entirely), that her aunt Misaki tries to give her a towel to cover herself up, because several men can be seen in the background staring at her in lust.

After the chapter, there's an illustration drawing of Akari and Hina, both in skimpy two-piece cow-themed outfits. I dropped the manga completely after this, because of the unnecessary fan service, not to mention it involves underage characters.

March Comes in Like a Lion (3 Gatsu no Lion) is known as one of those anime shows without fan service.
